I woke up yesterday morning, all fired up, and so excited, getting ready for the big Sunday for our beloved Miami Dolphins. I went to my father's house to watch the games and had Fins on one T.V. and the Giant game on the other(my father is a huge Giant fan). In the backround I had the sirius radio going with all the different games on, so pumped up, all ready to go. Could barely sleep the night before, I was so excited. This is the year, I thought to myself. The first game was a tough one, I could live with that, now its time for some Miami Dolphins football, time for Saban football, time for Culpepper to be the next Miami legend QB. As kickoff approaches, I get in my position, get my gear on, get the nervous feeling of the start of the game, and boom there goes the kick, with Welker returning it. 3 and out Miami's first drive. Ok im thinking no big deal. Boy was a I wrong. As I watch Miami make mistake after mistake, and Culpepper looking worse on each pass, I said to myself its early, whole game to go. Slant to Booker nice 25-30 yard gain, towards the end of the first half. Ok guys, lets get out of here with at least a FG, tie it up at the half 3-3. Next pass, well I guess Daunte was colorblinded, cause he threw it to the wrong jersey colors, not even close. Now my frusturation was building, I turn to my dad and said" If we lose this one, I will be sick". So he said " Whole game left, at least your team isnt losing 24-7 on the road, we are in bigger trouble then you guys" Well, after the Will Allen pass interference call and a Buffalo 10-0 lead followed, I started to think it wasnt our day, or our season. Next possession 3 and out. 13-0 Buffalo. I though ok, maybe they have late game magic like last year vs Buffalo, well never happened, as they lost 16-6. As this is going on I see the Giants, down 24-7 come all the way back to tie it 24-24. "Wow", I told my father. OT came and went with Eli Manning, throwing a beautiful pass to Burress and the Giants win! I turned to my dad and said " Wow, your team showed me something, heart and guts, along with a great QB, I wish my team had the same. " And that is it in a nut shell.

Yea thats how painful it is. I was so siked about this year. Just to be let down the first 2 games. It's always the same thing every year, Im so aggravated. I was so optomistic this year. And I kind of still am, so If I sound down on the team, Im sorry, just venting. Im just in shock.

Wow, I can relate so much....I went through almost the same thing but at my best freind's house (fortunetly for me, he's a Lions fan :) ) I remember thinking throughout the first half "we're only one big play away from taking this to the house and getting the lead.....boy, was I wrong.

Then in the second half, I remember turning and looking at my best freind and saying, "I don't know what's worse, being down 24-7 and having the ball inside the redzone getting ready to score, or being down 16-0 and receiving the ball" (this was in the 3rd qrtr with about 10 mins remaining)

Good, Im glad somebody feels what I feel. That's sports though, you live with your team and you die with your team.

I think everyone feels what you feel.

Man.. I could have written the same thing, but here's how it was 'worse' for me: My company consisted of two jets fans, a patriots fan, and the patriots fan's new girlfriend who hates the Dolphins for some reason.

Their jeers and laughs were almost unbearable. After the first half and the Fins were looking less and less on track my phone started ringing. Calls from others to taunt or to question what was going so wrong.

I kept waiting for deep exploitation of the rookie safeties, or huge runs up the gut with no Takeo. What the hell happened? I'm just at a loss..

Oh, and one more thing: Saban's absolutely right about the booing. Booing at home guarentees the other team a win and hurts the team into the next game. I'm not so naive that the coaches and team can do no wrong.. but week two was a bit early to turn a cold shoulder, people.

I died yesterday, the person typing this is just a shell. I dpn't know what else to say, the pain is real, the letdown is awful.

Its alright guys. Im really down too, I think everyone is. I cant wait for next weeks game though. If we cant beat the Titans at home we definately have a problem. Go Dolphins :dolphins:

I realized a lot watching the game yesterday, and I watched a lot of football yesterday including the Giants game because my father is also a Giants fan. We need a player we can almost always count on, and we dont have that. We need a Tomlinson or a Raw Lewis...and I feel like we can have a player like that but no one wants to step up. It's sad, and this is why I might just watched College football for the rest of the season. Because those kids play their heart out every down and are not worried about what car they want to buy next or what mansion they want to move into after the season. The way I look at it is, if the players hat are playing the game dont care as much as I care....then forget it

Very true. Is it me or when the Dolphins lose, you dont even enjoy watching the other games( MNF, Sunday Night). I cant get into it. And I love football. But why watch a team that is going to win, thinking if only my team won?

Yeah, same way for me too. I don't watch ESPN for a few days too, just because I know they are ripping us apart.
