I'm doing this exercise mainly to underline that bringing in talent is not always the most important thing. Not that every one of these players is a star, some may not even be better than what we have (here's looking at you, Hartline, Ginn) but we certainly could use several of them. Feel free to contribute, some of these guys might be done for all I know.

DBs: Sean Smith, Vontae Davis, Nolan Carrol, Chris Clemons

LBs: Ninkovich, Dansby, Walden

DL: Odrick, Starks, Kendall Langford, Soliai, Tony McDaniel

G: Evan Mathis, Jerry, Incognito

WRs: Brandon Marshall, Mike Wallace, Hartline, Ginn

TE: Clay, Fasano

Half of those guys would make us better, especially Davis, Carroll, Clemons, Dansby, Odrick, Incog, and Clay.
Philbin needed HIS guys.

Clemons cant keep a job. We did him a lot of favors with coverage. His role on the last play vs pitt cost him his job.
darkwa looks solid as well

Joe Berger is playing lights out here in MN. Those G's, Dansby, and Davis are killing us.

Hated the Davis trade then and hate it more now. People will point to his immaturity as a reason to trade him(to an afc team nonetheless) but if philbin was half a decent coach he would have been able to "coach" him. Philbin comes off as a guy who couldn't relate to young people. Guess that's why it didn't work out

Philbin is a veteran bunghole and the worst coach in the history of coaches. Philbin, Ireland and Bill Lazer set us back God only know how long. I like Hickey, he made some stellar picks. Give him another draft without Tannenbaum in his grill. The D needs not just a retooling but a ton of new players. Look how the Giants beat us through the air with ease. WITH EASE and I say F that bullcrap. Our D is out of GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We practice in this humidity every day!!!!! WTF is the deal with that. Grimes can't cover elite receivers anymore, period. Anybody need to watch him get hammered anymore. Draft a cornerback in the first round and don't miss on the guy. Get a 6'1" or taller guy that can come in and ball for us. Let Grimes be our #2. Round 2-LINEBACKER, Round 3-LINEBACKER and we better not miss. We need guy who can start right away because this D is tissue thin and heartless and stupid with the penalties. Jamar Taylor- get the hell of this team you 2nd round bust! Round 4and 5 big strong athletic mean Guards that can come in and help us right away. Maybe find a Free Agent Safety, pay him, we need it. And bring in Sean Paton, let him pick his OC and DC and let's start performing like a well coached team that can sniff the playoffs. I'm a Dolphin fan since Shula, Griese, Czonka, Larry Little etc. and this product that Ross is throwing out on the field makes me embarrassed. If we can't get Payton then by God bring in a real Head Coach who is a leader of men and puts a team on the field that plays with precision, heart, fire and desire. The time is now, this fan base is about over this garbage.

A lot of the guys on that list still aren't good.

John Jerry? Chris Clemons? Hartline? Fasano?

None of those guys are x-factors.

Not resigning Sean Smith was a mistake. We needed to trade Davis, he was showing up to practice hungover and out of shape. He got his act together in Indianapolis. Cutting Dansby for Phillip Wheeler was idiotic. I'm conflicted with Brandon Marshall he wore out his welcome in Denver and Chicago so it was not just an issue with Miami. No doubt he is a talent, but the coaching staff with Philbin would not have been able to handle him. It's wasn't our choice with Incognito, Jon Martin got him kicked out of Miami...the front office really didn't have a choice. Wish we could have resigned Clay and Odrick, there was no way at matching the deals Buffalo and Jacksonville made in bringing in Suh...I would rather have him than them. wish we could trade Clay for Cameron he way a better fit for our offense.

Think about this for s minute, In the eyes of our staff Richard Marshall best Vontae Davis out. WOW! Incompetence at its finest.

Agree, made for good tv is about all it was good for, smh trade your best CB who was still under his rookie contract.....dumb move, would love to have him and Grimes playing corner......

Once Marshall understood what he was dealing with with his mental illness, all he needed was a QB, RT would love to have Marshall on the outside, 3rd down and red zone but your right no way Philbin would want him on the team....Marshall is a beast.......Dansby is looking old now but was still playing at a high level after leaving us 4 yrs ago.

Is OG Donald Thomas healthy enough to play again? He's still young, all things considered I'd give him another shot.

Even Wallace with all his insane speed, is useless, and more trouble then he's worth.
