I hadn't seen this article posted, but it was from March.

I love Beck's confidence, and his unphased determination, no matter if they have McCown or bring in a Ryan with the first pick.

In his own words, `The way I am, I couldn't care less. When the opportunity comes, I have to strike. I'm not coming in to say I'm shooting to be an average quarterback and I'll be happy with that. I have such a high expectation for myself. I'm trying to be the absolute best I can.''

I KNOW what this kid did at BYU. Most people don't know about how much adversity he had to overcome (coaching instability under Crowton, til Mendenhall came on), and what does he end up? The 2nd most decorated QB in BYU history. And that's among the likes of Detmer, Young, McMahon, Nielson, and Wilson.

He's gone thru it before, and last season was no more than he's faced prior.

First one there, last one to leave. That's my boy!:hi5:

Go Beck! And Go Phins!

i sure hope he will start.. maybe if they fix his mechanics and glue the ball to his hands hell be able to hold on to it!

Hahaha. I hope so. I really hope that kid is the future, I just don't think so. I know he only played 4 games, but IMO he got worse rather then showing signs of improvement IMO.

However, after last seasons debacle, I don't think it is really fair to judge any of our rookies.

Classic example. Jason Allen finally looked like a starter and our defense got better when? When they supposedly dummied down the defense for Allen. Funny, that dummying it down made them better. So who's the real dummy? Calling plays that don't work or calling effective ones?

i think the fumbles had to do something to do with the weather the games he started were prolly the crappiest weather mother nature could throw at him. He has been working hard with the new staff an they have said there is improvement and he is showing the essence of what they seek in a QB. And hopefully he is working with Ginn and Wilford building a relationship with them. BP/JI will put the other pieces and Sparano will build that line and Beck will succeed.
