The best week one performance as a dolphins can easily go to Dan the man against patriots and Drew Bledso. But other than Dan who had the BEST game one?

Long shot........What about Lamar Smith against the Lions, 145 and 2 TD

Lamar Smith's game was vs. Seahawks

I would say Marino's game 1 in 1984 - versus the Redskins... 21-28, 311 yds. 5 TD's

Ronnie browns first game against the patsies last year was impressive

Most of these happened in the last 10 years. Are there any outside of the 90s where a performance could be rated as the best?

ummmm yes.
Marino's game vs the Jets in 1986.We lost 51 to 45 but Marino had a great game.

Later that year we Played the Jets at home and Killed them 45 to 3.

ricky's game against the bills in the snow was phenomenal

how we lost that game I still don't know

Dick Anderson's 4 interceptions versus the Steelers with 2 going back for touchdowns was pretty impressive.

You guys that said L Smith.....How can you say stuff like the Lions and the Seahawks as one of the greatest Dolphin performances ever when it's not even his best performance as a Dolphin?

Oh how quickly we forget the Colts game.....229 yards I believe and the exclamation point as he ran over the entire Colts team to win the game in OT.

:thanks: :hi5:

Yeah I remember watching Ricky torch Buffalo in the snow, that was a hell of a performance for the conditions.

I have the lions game on tape. The run he had behind Todd Wade was a thing of force and beauty. I thought he killed the poor Lion that he ran over to score on that one. 50+ yards IIRC.

That was a good game :)

I am not the biggest Ronnie Brown fan but I don't see how anyone could argue against the 1st Pats game last year as the best single game performance by a Dolphin ever. I can understand some cases being made, but to dominate the stat sheet like that on one side of the ball is just unreal. I would venture to say unmatched in Dolphin history.

I would have to say Ronnie Brown rolling over the pats last year. They were visibly shaken and Ronnie was visibly shaking with excitement every time he ran (or threw) a touchdown.Bellicheck had a scowl on his face that just told you he couldn't figure out what was happening fast enough to stop it. The pass from Brown to Fasano was set up so perfectly. I was in pure hog heaven sitting beside my best bud who is a patriot fan. Thats my fav, with Marinos fake spike probably behind it in second.
