according to Sporting News.....Gus Frerotte

"The Super Bowl days of Warner, Bledsoe and Dilfer are long gone; each is more of a stopgap caretaker at this point in his career. Frerotte, who has less wear and came at a cheaper price, still has plenty of arm strength and can inject more life into Miami's dep passing game than A.J. Feeley can."

I could see how they put Gus up there, but the Qb, I would've rather seen brought in is Mike McMahon. His name was brought up before on this site, but I don't believe the team is playoff caliber yet, so I think it would've been better to have 2 relatively young Qb's, with potential battle it out. I think Gus will start, but for any fan of the fins that should be a dissapointment in Feeley, rather than an aknowledgement of how good Gus is. The reason I bring up McMahon is he's a young guy and I think it'd be better to have 2 Qb's that could have the potential to be the Qb of the future, rather than 1. Sage can be argued with this point, and McMahon's has been inaccurate, but I would rather have him and AJ fight it out than Gus and Aj, with my thinking that the team won't make the playoffs.

I dont know why everyone is giving poor Gus such a hard time.Trust me I would love to see AJ finally play like he with the eagles, but if Gus beats him fair and square great.I dont know but after reading the camp reports it seems to me like Gus is overplaying Feely.I also notice that Gus is building Chemistry with Chambers,Mcmichael,Booker and Boston.Feely is building Chemistry with DT,lol.

I remember watching Gus step in for Culpepper and thinking who is this guy.Kind of how I fealt when the kid that steped in for Mcnair played his heart out.

MAy the best man win, if Feely wins it everyone is gonna be happy, but if Gus wins it we are going to be thinking, WHY....

In Saban I Trust!
