Would in my opinion be one that doesn't kill the Redskins first day after Edwards.

The best way to do this is to ask for Santana Moss, the 9th overall, the 25th overall in exchange for our 2nd overall and our early 3rd. That works out pretty well on the value chart if Moss is considerd a 1-2nd rounder. Moss is the PERFECT complement to our two large WRs and Thompson. The possiblities for Linehan are endless with Moss in the slot. That would be an incredible, balanced WR core. He's only 25 turning 26 and I'm sure he'd love to return to Miami. Eventually he can simply take over for Booker if he doesn't like the situation here in later years or we can't afford him anymore. With Moss valued right around the 32nd pick, the value works out to be around 60 in our favor. To add to that the Redskins should add their 4th rounder valued around 85. That's 145 in our favor. However, for the deal to be attractive to the Redskins we should add our 3rd rounder from the Bears.

Final total 100 to the Redskins. That is by the way the perfect range for most draft trades in the NFL. 200 to the trading up team is the borderline usually, so we get a very good deal.

We get a very important early 4th to grab the best players that have fallen from day one, we get Santana Moss to make our offense VERY DANGEROUS, we can get a RB at 9 or in the worst-case scenario Shawne Merriman. We can play with numerous possibilites with the 25th pick overall as well.

The Redskins end up with Braylon and a CB in round three.

Seems like the closest the deal can come....

How willing will the Skins be to trade Moss whom they just traded for? Wouldn't including him in the trade basically put them back in the same spot they are in now (in need of another WR)? What makes you think that if a player is included, it would be him? I'm not arguing here I just want to see what you have to say.

The fact that the team holds no loyalty to him and his lack of attendance at the teams early mini-camps are two reasons that suggest the purpose of this trade. The Redskins do have wideouts, however they don't have a true #1. Edwards can be that for them. Gardner is a decent #2, Taylor Jacobs is a talented player, James Trash is a good #3-4, as is McCants.

I think they should give us their first 2 plus Moss just for our top pick. But I still don't like the fact that we'd miss out on all 3 top RB's.I'd rather trade with the vikings cos we'd still get one of the top 3 backs plus maybe Williamson too. Then in the 2nd we could get Bass.I'd be jumping up and down if we end up with those 3.

Ozzy rules!!

santana moss wants a big contract. not him.

sean taylor and other two firsts would be three firsts round picks for our 2. no way they do that.

I think the Vikes might feel that Williamson could be a good replacement for Moss, however it's obvious they like Edwards as well.

I'm not sure that all the top RBs would be gone. The Henry deal could possibly go through.

At 4 one of the RBs will be gone almost without a doubt. At 5 it's a tossup however T.B. can definitely pull off the trade for Travis Henry and I think they will. They'll simply take Mike Williams at 5. At 8 I can see Arizona taking one of the RBs or a CB if the Woodson trade doesn't work out or if they don't get Travis Henry. Yes there is a possibility all three could be picked by 8, however in the case Miami can also trade up one spot with Arizona which would probably cost us only a 4th rounder. That's the WORST CASE SCENARIO...

Santana Moss won't get a big contract in Washington. He'll be in a good situation in Miami, plus he'll have the tax benefits of the state to boot...

what about sean taylor and the draft picks 9 & 25

I know taylor wants a new contract and hasn't gone to "voluntary" workouts but why on earth would you think the redskins would give up 2 1st rounders plus Taylor for Braylon Edwards? It doesn't make any sense! Wait ... neither did the Coles-Moss trade. Hell, we should ask for Lavar Arrington, too.

Your scenario is decent Jaj. but, If your going to go after that trade, instead of just flipping them our 3rd, how about us swapping 3rd rounders, that seems to be the better scenario.

no way washington would even consider letting Taylor go, are you crazy? LOL. Santana is good, I could live with that. They would never let Portis go, they paid dearly for him. Do they still got sultan McCullough on their squad. I would try to get him as part of the trade. that MF is the fastest back i have ever saw. He was blazing at USC. He would be dirt cheap too. Boot one of our crap backs, and let Sultan roam around in our backfield, that would be nice.

NOt going to happen. Washington wants cambell witht heir 25th pick. (Or whatever it is)

Santana Moss has been a bust in the NFL. I don't want no part of him.

I don't know if "bust" is accurate, but he DEFINITELY has fallen far short of his pre-draft hype. I don't want him either.

Keep dreaming.....just another stupid what if post - that would NEVER EVER EVER HAPPEN. Thanks dude for your genius insight!!! I suppose that we could just ask New England for Tom Brady for a 5th rounder since he was a 6th....that would be value for them right? Hell, while we are at it why don't we just ask the commish if he can just give us the Lombardi since EVERYBODY LOVES THE DOLPHINS - AND ACCORDING TO YOUR LOGIC WOULD JUST LOVE TO HELP US WIN IT.
