I know - another uniform thread... :rolleyes:

Take a look at this pic of former Dolphin, Lorenzo Hampton, and HIS UNIFORM...

If the Fins were to ever consider altering their uni's again, I think this would be the way to go (throwback)...

Classy, clean and every bit the tradition of our storied franchise...

I still like the old school uniforms, like the ones pre-1985. In 1986, they changed the striping on the pants and I think it was 1987 they went to the numbers like in the LH photo you posted.
 
I like the new ones and, goin out on a limb, I'm going to say I really like the dark blue and wish that was more in the design of the unis
 
since we are on unis... my top 5 are

1.bengals
2.chargers (light blue)
3.Titans
4.Saints
5.Steelers

I know, but I thought it be fun if we all listed our favs from around the league... sorry for trying to hijack your thread Donny.
 
I guess I'm a traditionalist because I like the old uniforms best. I don't like the orange jerseys that the Dolphins have worn twice (both wins) or the all aqua ones. As for best in the league, here is my top 5.

1. Miami
2. Tampa Bay - they improved big-time on their old ones
3. Jacksonville
4. New England - another improvement with the new unis
5. San Diego (powder blue)

Bottom five in no order:
Cleveland - I hate the helmet. Colors ok.
Green Bay - Green and yellow combo not my favorite.
Detroit - why not make it the color of a lion?
Buffalo - Don't like the red Buffalo on the helmet. Looks weird.
Bears - Could do a lot more with a Bear (see Jags). Colors are fine.

These need some tweaking, but aren't bad:
Raiders - TB kind of beat them to the punch with an updated look.
Steelers - Add the logo to both sides of the helmet, otherwise this is a top 10.
 
I still think the old Dolphin uniforms are the Perfect Football Uniforms. And Larry has a message for anyone who disagrees...

I DO like the aqua pants with the white tops, and all aqua is cool every once in a great while. I do NOT like the orange jerseys AT ALL.

I don't want blue either, way too many teams have dark blue in their color scheme. Seems every team wants Red-White & Blue in theri color scheme - or at least dark blue. It's nice being a team with a unique set of colors.

I think every team should wear throwbacks at least once per year. Also, do NOT like the dolphin holding th football logo. the one we have is great. Updated but with better detail on the dolphin.

An AQUA helmet with a white or orange facemask would be very interesting.

Best other colors: Saints
 
I like all the uniforms. I don't think the team should revert back to the old ones, but wouldn't mind an updated retro jersey. Some mix of the old and new. The one thing that should never change is white helmets. Orange would be too flashy, gray or silver would be too dull, aqua would look like a former NFL Europa team (Hamburg), and I know someone threw black out there...keep black off the Fins uni. Navy could be interesting if used more, but too many teams already use navy. I just think they should update the jerseys a lil. Keep the colors and logo, but update the jerseys. Its too plain. stripes on sleeves are too small, and not a huge fan of the number font.
 
I hate that blue crap jimmy johnson brought here its dumb the dolphins are aqua, orange, and white for a reason. Aqua= water orange= sun and white= the sand it it should always be that way

have to disagree 1000 times. I love our colors but trying to match aqua and orange is not easy. The blue helps make the apparel a bit smoother to look pimp at the games. Besides the ocean is blue man... I mean dolphins do live there.

I guess blue can be for the sky then but yea your right i just think it gives us a newer look.
