The Big O on WQAM

I caught the tail end of his show this morning, so I didn't catch it all, but he talked about Drew Stanton and Kerry Kolb. He said, "I'd expect to see one of those two guys in a Dolphins' uniform next year."

Sounds like high praise coming from the Big O (Orlando Alzugaray) who goes to the senior practices every year and is known for his scouting knowledge.

Did anyone else hear this? What round are these QBs projected to go in?

Didn't hear it but that wouldn't surprise me. They should both be 2nd rounders.

well i am not too enamered with stanton but kolb played against my ostate cowboys and man the kid is a hall of famer compared to joey .i also heard the defensive tackle ryan mcbean is lighting the senior bowl up a little bit. ryan is a stud at stoping the run.
as for qb i hope we go after kolb or quinn or troy smith.

Stanton probably projects as a second rounder...although I wouldn't be shocked if somebody reaches on him towards the end of the first. Kolb is looking more like a third rounder, I heard that he did not impress at the Senior Bowl.

Since Mueller has been here we've technically drafted one EVERY year...

We used a 6th rounder 2 years ago for Lemon. We used our 2nd rounder last year on Culpepper. We used our 5th rounder "this" year on Harrington...but he was a bust...so, if we draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th round this year...it would just be continuing what we've been doing all along...using a pick in every draft on a QB. :wink:

If we werent going to cut Harrington, which we will, we would still have already used our 5th rounder on a QB already.

But I'd say, cut Harrington, and draft a QB in the 3rd round.

i dono nemore i give up. Stanton reminds me of frerrote, insoncisstant and throws af ew flotter balls and inability to throw in stride at times. but ot be honest, whatevr happens happens i guess.
