The Bills' moves haven't been that big

Yeah the Bungles D did suck t2thejz. They probably had one of the worst DLs in football. Yet Spikes still was dominant. If you want to point out the Bills weaknesses there are plenty of other ways to do it. At least start an argument that makes sense.

The Spikes signing was good for Buffalo, but Buffalo is not done yet. Tom Donahoe still has a fair amount of cap room to work with. Bills fans know that we need another good DT. We also need another left defensive end. Jones is a natural RDE, as is Schobel. They'll split time there to keep fresh legs IMO. McKenzie, signed a while ago is more of a pass rushing specialist from the LDE spot rather than a full time player. I don't know if Buffalo will get Sam Adams signed or not. No, he's no messiah, but if Buffalo signs him, he will likely take the nose spot while Pat Williams moves to the undertackle position. Adams doesn't have to be worlds better than Ron Edwards. We just need him to occupy a couple blockers for the D to be better. I think Buffalo may look for a big DE in the first round of the draft, maybe a guy who can play either the undertackle spot and left defensive end. My money is on Kenny Peterson at the moment. Kevin Williams could conceivably drop, but that would surprise me. If it's not either of those two guys, Cory Redding or Michael Haynes are possibilities. You should keep one thing in mind. On the defence, rookie linemen have lessof a learning curve than a lot of positions. If you want to make an impact as a rookie, your best bet ito get drafted as either a running back or a defensive lineman. One of the above guys could make more of an impact than you might expect.

Buffalo will miss Price's speed, and will try and find someone who can bring both speed and some experience to the WR spot for the Bills. Kevin Dyson and Martay Jenkins have both visited. They won't be as productive as Price, but they won't be asked to be. Reed doesn't have the afterburners that Price has but he is an unusually mature young WR. He played like a veteran of three or four seasons last year. I think he'll be fine in a second receiver role if Buffalo doesn't sign someone for the job.

I do think it's pretty funny for fin fans to call the Bills cellar dwellers when we finished one game behind the other three teams. It will not take a huge improvement for Buffalo to leap frog over the rest of the division.
