Here is the bottom line. The Dolphins have a great receiving squad, a great pool of running backs to select from. They even have two guys that could probably be the starting QB. The real question is are we going to get solid production out of our O line. We sure didn’t last year, and like it or not it was a big part of our 4-12 season. This O line needs to let Gus or A.J. feel comfortable in the pocket. Give them time to take control of the game. The same applies for the running game. It will do us no good having such a talented group of backs if the line doesn’t open the holes they’re supposed to, and keep these mammoth defensive linemen off their backs. The Dolphin’s offence will only perform at the level that the O line performs at. I hope that Couch Hauck has that under control.

We can’t forget about the defensive line. The once dominant line was reduced to a joke last year. It all starts at the line. The line was depleted both by free agency, and injury. I expect to see huge improvements in this department; after all he is a defensive coach. The defensive line has to be there to plug the running lanes, and disrupt the timing of the play and the QB. We have an exceptional defense, but it would be nice to see more plays broken up in the backfield this year.

Am I putting to much emphasis on this or does anyone agree

i agree with you...but it may take awhile for the o-line to jell and exibit houcks coaching

eh, nothing that hasnt been said before...not to mention its pretty much widely known that OL and DL are 2 of the most important factors for any team...so obviousely when our OL and DL was weak, we struggled

i dunno, your post was just pretty much stating the obvious...

Disagree.

There is currently ONE RB. Ricky Williams. He brings alot of questions and baggage, but he is pure stud when he plays the game of football. After him it gets bad.

The other RBs have done nothing above average in the NFL. Nothing.
At least Brown may have the talent to contribute. He might not. We will never know, until he signs. Every day he stays out, he loses two or three days of time and development.

The QBS have dont nothing to prove themselves. At least AJ has some upside that could be tapped into, but has very little experience. Gus has very little upside, but he has experience and could drive the team to many wins if he puts it all together. Overall, one of them needs to get on a roll and have it last all season. However, it does happen every year in the NFL.

The OL. Ill agree with that. Except I think Ricky improves the OL all by himself. And possibly the QB. He makes everyone look better simply by stepping onto the field and being 90% of what he was before his absence. Now if Brown can prove versatile and can help improve Ricky, well that would be a rather large boon.
