We all know that players are fully aware of what's going on right now -- and you can be 100% sure they know, after 2 lack luster performances and losing yet again to a team we should have handled, Philbin is on the hot seat.

Point is -- IF (???) the off-season/preseason amateur hour coaches talent contests etc. built "team unity" and a comradery towards Philbin and the staff in general, the players should come out Sunday like a pack of angry wolves intent on "protecting the pack."

With that in mind, I'd say anything less than an inspired demonstration of football aggression and good old fashioned bad intent on our part is a direct indictment against the current regime.

Bottom line, we have everything to play for and this is our HOME OPENER -- so the truth is going to be evident right from the start.

My opinion. Of course.

BNF.

It will be the same show we've been watching the last two and a half years: team comes out flat, gets behind early, ties the game in the 3rd only to disappear completely in the 4th.

I'm hoping our oline somehow looks better and our dline finally shows up. that is what would save our season

They can be intent like no other but when that ball is kicked off and they get their arse kicked like in Wash, intent will mean nothing. It comes down to talent and after Ireland and now Hickey there isnt much on the field.

Our lines on both sides of the ball will determine this season. DLine being the more critical.

this...

They'll fight...not in the truly inspired, dominating way we want to see but in their own dolphins-snatching-defeat-from-the-jaws-of-victory way.

Enough of a fight so those with the aqua-colored glasses still on will have a positive or two to extract from the piles of **** (a la Laura Dern sticking her hands into a pile of triceratops dung - that was for you Nubs), and enough of a let-down to continue building the storm that's brewing for the remainder of the season.

That's my prediction FWIW.

we suck and cant score this game will further prove it. Tannehill gonna get sacked 5 times easily

I actually believe we have sufficient talent to be "competitive." Obviously the OL is a core issue that’s been festering for what seems to be forever. I believe part of that deficiency can be at least partially offset by really smart game planning and the creative use of all our roster resources. But yea, we can't just line up and play totally predictable football and expect to win on the LOS consistently. We need some innovation and inspired play calling from the coaching staff.

After that, we need to play HIGHLY FOCUSED mistake free football and not be the team that keeps imploding and beating itself. That's also related to coaching and specifically setting and ENFORCING expectations.

But most of all, this team needs to exhibit backbone and dedication -- a sense of purpose and a sense of finding a way to win -- regardless of the circumstances. Bottom line, this team is in dire need of a rally!

And that's motivational and inspirational. Two areas Philbin seems to be severally lacking. If he's going to do it -- NOW is the time!

Buffalo game won't tell you squat. This team has been and even though quite early continues to be consistently inconsistent.

Thought that with the off season acquisitions we might have turn the corner ..... but things appear to be following the same old Dolphins 15 year+ pattern. Again exposing the continuous mis fires of the coaching staff possibly to a degree so clear even Mr Ross see's the lack of ability of Philbin and staff.

Heard Joe's been watching alot films of other teams 2 minute drill lately to try to develop a clue of his own (you'd think he'd have that down by now).....oh well been here done this and atleast my expectations are being shattered early and the one or two unexpected wins won't suck me in anymore......ya right......

I totally agree that this will be a telling game about the heart of this team. I only wish we were going into it without some of the injuries.

Three first round draft picks on the O-line alone, decent set of receivers, first round pick at QB, the best DT in the NFL, an excellent pass rusher, an all pro at CB, but we have no talent, bull ****. These next 2 games against our division rivals will tell you what type of team and coaching staff this is. If we lose it won't be due to lack of talent.

Basically whatever causes us the most misery... Yeah, this is the Dolphins so that sounds about right.

A win against the Bills (at home!) is paramount! If we do not come through (at home!) then, well...I don't want to even think about it.
