The Captain`s Floyd Draft Perspective

Hello guys
First of all, just want to tell you, im excited the way this franchise is going on, and i dont want parcells out, at least for the next season.
so...going on to my topic:
This could be the very first "large post" of my rookie and inexpert fan Knowledge posts.

From my point of view, in the draft, and with the people do we have, i think we NEED to draft DEFENSE!!!!

WHY,??
Because. we have a very lack of strong players in the skills positions and the strong positions, for start we dont have a Starter ILB (even if we sign crowder, wich i dont think so), a 2nd OLB, 2nd Corner and Starter Free Safety..
we need playmakers in defense, besides porter, allen, goodman and bell

What do you thinks....

We DONT need :

WR (ginn, camarillo, BESS!!!, london)----(ok maybe a true legitime #1 WR, but not right now)
TE (THE BULL FASANO, Martin)
T (long, maybeee carey)
G (DONALD THOMAS!!!:D , smiley, ndukwe)
C (satele...??) (maybe we can get a decent free agent.....like brown from baltimore)

..... right now, we need DEFENSE....
DEFENSE!!!

and. .Im just in a non-gay-just sport bussiness love to Rey Maualuga ...
I dont know what does it takes to bring him ....but i just want him in a dolphins uniform so badly..
trade our 1st and 2nd and a player to a top 5 pick...???

i'd love to have Rey Maualuga in a Phins uniform also,but not at the expense of giving up any picks to move up...if anything,i'd love for us to acquire more picks if possible...

as to rey maualuga. i've been watching the USC LB's for years. rivers ,rey and cushing are going to be superb pros.(clay matthews don't suck either) rey is right now projected in the 10-20 range. i'd be willing to surrender a 1st,one 2nd,and a 4th or later to move into this territory and grab maualuga or mays. i believe he's that good.

My wife says as much as I worship Ricky, "since his Texas days" my wife says I should have married him.. atleast this time around I will let him wear the suit. :D

Maualaga in a fins uniform is not going to happen. But I agree with most of your post. I would argue that you draft your most glaring need and to me that is guard. I read throughout the year how fortunate the team was that they stayed so healthy. Our O-line lost both of our starting guards, and that is a devasting loss. Imagine losing both starting corners, or both starting running backs (which we did last year), it can ruin your season. We were picking guys up off the street and they were starting the next week. Draft Duke Robinson #1, than go heavy on defense with both 2nd rounders.
