It pisses me off! Should have won thise games.
On paper we did, but we got the L!
I don't want to see those teams being undeafeted and we played them
and lost!

At least they both went through Miami, so my hats off to them if they can pull it off.

We can't seal the deal - they can. That's the distinction here.

Our coaches panic in the second half and our secondary and receiving corps cannot make routine plays. I can tell you that the Colts and Saints do not have those problems.

I agree but the fact is we did not. We are no different from the teams that they have already played, a loss is a loss. Now heres a big question.. Would you root for the Pats against the Saints and Colts if it meant it would be their only losses of the season?

if they dnt win the sb its all irrelivant bc the pats already went 16-0

Only if I had zero self respect or was always a Pats fan in the first place, just lurking here to stir up trouble. lol

Cheering the Pats is worse than cheering the Yankees - and nobody outside of the North East (excluding Mass.) should ever, ever cheer for the Yankees.

And half of them should cheer for the Mets!

Pi$$ poor defense is what cost us those games. That and a horrible execution of the two minute drill (especially in the Colts game). Completely agree though that neither of those teams should have 0s in their "L" columns after playing us.

Is that a serious question? I'm rooting for the Pats to put those games away as soon as possible. I'll certainly root harder in those games than for the Dolphins against the Buccs, for example.

You've got to think long term. This franchise is fortified and legendary based on the singular feat of 1972. Marino is comparatively meaningless, for example. Dozens of QBs will swamp his records and be considered subjectively better. That's the natural course of events. But as long as no one matches perfection we've always got a trump card that can withstand centuries, and spark insane jealousy. Fans across the country adopt the unbeaten team and pull for them, solely to deprive the Dolphins of owning the pedestal alone.

I realize it's comfy to sit back and rationalize the Pats can lose and others will eventually take care of the Colts and Saints. This is no longer the Any Given Sunday NFL. Very few road blocks await. For one thing, these teams are very legit, #1 and #2 in the most important stat Yards Per Pass Attempt Differential:

The next few years are particularly vital. It's obvious Goodell intends to add more games, probably to 17 or 18. Once that happens, there's no turning back. And the 1972 Dolphin record would be more safe, simply based on mathematical opportunity for a loss.

You have to think the Colts will eventually lose. They're one dimensional. They're the Dolphins of the 80's actually. Peyton single hadedly is why they're 8-0. Their run game is mediocre, and their defense is full of injuries. The Saints on the other hand scare me...

if the dolphins r in contention for the division, and people are rooting for the pats to beat the colts or saints, then ur not a real dolphin fan. first of all unless u think the saints or colts r a threat to win the superbowl, then it dosent matter bc a team has already gone through the reg season up until the superbowl undefeated so they wouldnt be doing anything new. with that being said, if the colts do go undefeated, then they deserve it. they r a classy orginzation, they have one of the best qbs of all time who is a very classy player, even when he broke marinos record he said all the right things etc, and i wish him nothing but the best. also they play in the afc, so if they can get through the playoffs with beating the steelers, pats, etc, and then beat the nfcs best they deserve it. on to the saints, i really do not think they are so good, and they should have already had a few losses.they also play in the nfc which is a much weaker confrence and the competition they have faced this year is nothing to write home about. we also shouldve beaten them, and if not the refs giving sharper a td when he only got to the 2 yd line before fumbling the ball, we win that game. i feel the saints r very fourtunate and do not want them going undefeated. also if they do make the superbowl, i dont think they would beat the afcs best team whether its pitt or indy,[ or maybe us hopefully a mircale will happen lol]. that being said if i had to choose one of those teams to do it, it would be with no doubt the colts.

I have not seen any piece of paper saying we won. Maybe on paper we SHOULD have won, but we didnt.

And on paper we lost the 2nd Jets game. When they start playing games on paper, let me know.

And another thing, they haven't played anybody. The Colts never play anybody. They have an easy schedule every year. Chad Henne could throw for 300 yards every game with the defenses Peyton has had to play. The Colts are in the weakest division in football, and ever since they have got out of the east, they have been a 12-13 win team every year.
