here is a right answer, they both suck
i am a crusty old man, want no soda with my bourbon (or rye). some vermouth and bitters, or simple (demerara preferably), but no coke. yuck!
i am mostly straight up neat, often a manhattan over a big rock, and a variety of other ****tails.
paper plane is quite good and an easy drinking bourbon ****tail too.
good news booze biz in its first slump ever, stuff is really loosening up. can find things all of the sudden and prices coming way down.
kids don't drink as much, ozempic, and a few other issues.
