This is 100% correct.
If they don't like the thread, they do not need post here.
They should ignore it.
Yet they keep coming back.
Further, the "opinion" thing is complete and utter nonsense, on many levels and also terribly hypocritical.
What people say here is more akin to belief than opinion.
But most importantly, when we all disagreed with them and posted an alternative belief set, they lambasted us for it.
Called us trolls, and haters, and not real fans, and all sorts of other things. Acting like a roving band of bullies in the process of doing so.
They did not treat our posts as "opinion" - they treated them as something else, and acted in a quite nasty and abusive fashion about all of it.
Basically, the posts about "opinion" are complete nonsense and terribly hypocritical.
They need to say "forgive me father for I have sinned" or just ignore this thread. They have made their point, others disagree.
Not complicated.

I'm trying to not add to this fire but... what you said is spot on. If all of our "opinions" couldn't be right or wrong, then I really wonder why they all got so ugly and hostile?? Why or even how any of us could be "haters" or not "real fans" if our "opinions" have no merit on what's reality?

By the way, belief is literally a synonym for “opinion.” Just admit you have no idea what you’re talking about and move on with your life.

What point have I made that you have disproved?
The initial post was a light hearted post many took it accordingly then some took as a personal attack (not you).
Hey ho you can’t please everyone, what a boring place it would be if we all agreed, discourse and polite disagreement is all good.

Do you need one on what “disprove” is vs. “dispel?”
