I would have laughed at this 20 years ago but ever since they moved into the stadium hardly anything has gone right for this franchise. Apparently the stadium was built over land that was once an indian burial site. I know most of you will laugh your ass off at this thread but could there possibly be something to this? Somebody call a witch doctor quick! LOL

Check out these articles I dug up, including this quote.

"Then there were the two acres that archeologists claimed were an Indian burial ground more than 1,000 years ago. They said that the Tequesta Indians had used the site about 800 A.D., and the Seminole Indians in the mid-19th century. The burial grounds were excavated in 6-inch increments as experts sifted through the diggings."

So they basically dug out buried dead bodies to construct the stadium...SMH

The Orange Bowl was the opposite of a burial ground then?

why do the Marlins still suck there.

It puts me in mind of the Montreal Canadiens, in the old Forum they were good every year. They moved to the new bigger better arena and been pretty mediocre ever since.

Interesting the Orange Bowl was an automatic for home field advantage Joe Robbie not. Makes you wonder if we had stayed at the old Orange Bowl site and kept winning with those bad seats if we would have had a better turnout than with those nice cushy seats at Joe Robbie with our loosing records under all those high priced popular coaches that have been passing through Joe Robbie like a revolving door.

They wanted to build the stadium closer to downtown due West of 836. City fought it like the fight everything else. Dolphins never really wanted to leave the Orange Bowl but the city owned the stadium...and the city fought requests to improve the Orange Bowl.

Ya, that is a little freaky.....but our curse is our drafts and head coaches.

Well the Marlins won two World Series in Sun Life so I'm sure it's not some curse.

Also true.

I used to think the Miami Heat were cursed. We just could not catch a break... Then Dwyane Wade was drafted and Pat traded for Shaq.

This is all on our crappy GM's and Coaches. If we had acquired Drew Brees instead of Culpepper, we would have won a ring by now, I am convinced of that.

The OB used to be the loudest stadium in the entire NFL. You dont see this anymore

Blame the city of Miami. They've always been idiots when it comes to buildin and zoning laws. They never want to do anything to improve anything that they already have. There was a big stink about the seaquarium years ago. City didn't want to improve it, papers had to be filed to deem it a national historical landmark or something. I can't recall all the details but it's like pulling teeth with the city.

But then they go and let Jeff Loria and his goons hoodwink them into building a new stadium and making the tax payers foot the bill. Bunch of idiots.
