Alright, before i start getting bashed for making this thread i want to make one point clear. This thread is not bashing the Dolphins but i'm just asking an honest question looking for an honest answer. Now that i got that out of the way i want to ask my question. When we don't get pressure on the QB is it more of the D-line not getting a push or the linebackers that just aren't getting through? Before the seaon most people on Finheaven were saying that our D-line was monsterous. Has age caught up to the D-line or is lack of execution by the linebackers that is making the D-line look bad?

your D line is good enough, but its hard to get pressure on the QB when he hands the ball off to the RB 75% of the time.

It was a problem through preseason to though

The D-Line gets pressure when we rush 4, but we get nothing when we blitz

For that reason I will say its the Linebackers fault

The bills only had 80 yards passing they were just pounding us with mgahee and eating clock. We have had a hard time stopping the run the last 2 games and if you cant stop the run you are going to be in trouble!

If that's the case, why dosen't the team rush Crowder more? He's big enough to take on linemen and IMO has a better chance of getting through the line than any of the other backers.

Defense having a hard time doing anything, Cant pressure the qb cant stop the run . Cant get any turnovers. They need to fix these problems quick or we won't sniff the playoffs .

A GREAT D-Line gets pressure without the LBs ....

We have not been successful with blitzing LBs for a VERY long time ...

The purpose of a blitz ... is exactly that ... a BLITZ on the QB to close the '3-4' seconds to 2-3 ....

Pressure is supposed to come from the D-Line WITHOUT help from the LBs ...

When you have to utilize LBs to create 'pressure' ... then that exposes the 'short field' to RBs & short passes ...

D-Lines fault linebackers are a totally different set of players................................did any one see that killer Matt roth play sunday lol he tore Mcgahee down !!!

Our linebacking core is good i would say but no great. We have Zach who is a Pro Bowler year in and year out but he's getting old. Channing Crowder was a steal in the 3rd and Spragan is average.
