I'm not one to post long, drawn out posts considering I don't have a lot to say. But what I will say is... Red Zone efficiency. That's literally the ONLY thing that separates us from the elite. And I know this is stating the obvious... but watching the Colts get curb stomped by a BEATABLE Pats team just put it in a broader perspective for me. I live up here in NE (moved up here a year ago for work) and it just sickens me when I watch the Pats succeed even when they're clearly vulnerable. We were a surprisingly efficient redzone team last year which is what makes this year so frustrating sometimes... I can only hope we can get it together in these final weeks coming up. Improving in this area is the only way we not only make the playoffs, but have post season success as well.

There will be eons of arguments as to whether Belichick could do anything as a HC without Brady but truth is he is a genius game planner and exceptional at extracting a player's full potential and then some.

2008 makes any talk of Tom Brady being the key component of their success null and void, because they spent a whole season with Matt Cassel at QB and went 11-5. A combination of great ownership, great coaching, great drafting/free agency, a pinch of cheating, a sprinkle of favorable scheduling, and a dash of shady officiating are all significant contributors to the recipe that makes up NE's 14 year long reign of dominance, a feat never matched by any other NFL team in history.

We have a lot more differences with them then just their red zone production. Though, I'll certainly agree it's an area we need to make enormous improvements in if we want to sniff the post season.

Brady's been in this offense since Moses wore short pants. Tannehill and the rest of the offense are still going through some growing pains. It's getting much better. There are so many great signs. 14 completes in arrow, running game so much improved, o-line, again much improved ( loss of Albert absolute heart break, guy was beasting!!) and probably the last piece is red zone precision. It's coming!! Starting with Denver!!!

head coach is smart. QB is great (although not on that horrific INT before the half)

Teams outside of us do not know how to play the Pats. They really dont. Thats why Detroit wont beat them either. They just dont understand what it takes for 60 minutes.

The difference we have philbin they have Bellicheck. They have a head coach who knows how to win close games for the most part and not piss himself like philbin.

stop it. they won 10 games w/ cassell as a starter, Cassell is a guy who won a div title w/ another team. the year before they were 16-0 against a MUCH tougher schedule. Brady is the Pats, He has Gronk healthy again and right now they are the best team in football.

Miami is playoff good, NE is SB good.

they really good teams score touchdowns and we settle for field goals. when manning, brady, Rodgers get inside the 15 I expect them to score a td, I expect us to kick a fg

I have to agree, man. NE also has the ability to score in a lot of different ways from a lot of random pieces. NE also has the ability to exploit the **** out of any team they play. Colts were not ready for a bruiser and could not adjust defensively. If the crash and smash Brady tactic doesn't work, NE is close to impossible to beat. If you can't hit Brady in the mouth early and often and sustain the pressure then he will dink and dunk and then stretch you in all directions every drive.

Best team in football? Maybe, but I would still take the Packers. Also, KC would give NE a heck of a game IMO.
