I think all those scenarios are unlikely. The most likely scenario will be that we win 3 or 4 more games which puts us at something like 7-10.
I do not think Ross wants to make any major change or start from scratch at his age. Plus I don’t really think winning is a priority for him but that’s a different convo
Yeah I didn’t list all possibilities. When I wrote 4-13 I was being extreme but meant that as winning 0-2/3 more games. If they end up with 8 or more wins I think MM sticks around.

Unfortunately it could end up being a lose/lose. We can suck the rest of the year and still have those guys back in 2026
Then we can all just resign ourselves to the fact that Ross is not serious about winning so we shouldn't expect anything from this team as long as he remains the owner.

We as fans have a little predicament, one where I know many know 100% which side they're on, but though nobody wants to believe it, that decision as fans is becoming more and more apparent to be coming.

Miami with 4 wins are barely a top 10 drafting team, but are all of a sudden within 2 games of reaching the playoffs.

Miami's next 2 games are very to somewhat winnable, and of the next 6 games 3 can be considered winnable (Saints,@ Jets, Bengals), and 3 that will be a challenge (@Steelers, Bucs, @Patriots).

My question would you root for the team to lose, so as to get that higher draft pick, get that new possible HC, GM, QB, or do you root Miami get back into the playoffs picture and actually reaches it.

Those of you that even in the wins, say that McD has been clueless in many of the decisions he has made, Weaver has proven that he still might not have an answer to creating a consistent Defense, and Tua has shown to be at best OK this season, so losing out forces all of them to be replaced. What do you choose, and opinion of the position Miami is in, I admit, I am curious...
The poll is a bit misguided. If you take the questions as absolute, choice one has a 1.6% chance of happening now.
The question might be would you rather finish with 7 wins, miss the playoffs, and have nothing change because Ross thinks we are on the right track.
Or finish with 5 wins, and Ross hopefully overhaul the whole thing and do business in a different way.
I believe the poll is set up in a way that it does not represent the most realistic outcomes, again playoffs is a 1.6% chance.

I’m seeing their odds of making the playoffs at 2.4%. We’re a lock. 😂

I don’t think those things are mutually exclusive. If they win a SB or something crazy like that I think maybe Ross will keep all 3 next season. If they make the playoffs I think Ross keeps MM. If they end up with a winning season or close to it I think Ross keeps MM. if they go 4-12 I think there’s a good chance Ross fires MM.

In any scenario I think Tua at best gets next year and that’s because of cap hit. Maybe they go the Denver route and eat the cap.

None of us has any idea what happens with Champ. I just want Ross to interview a lot of people and pick the best candidate. I don’t care what his name is or if someone can turn that name into what a 3rd grader nickname will be. That may or may not be Champ. I don’t know enough about GM’s so I don’t know who would be best. I think it will most likely not be any current or former GM’s. It’s going to most likely be an assistant GM or Champ. So it’s a risk either way.
Tua will be here next season (too expensive to cut), but that doesn’t absolutely mean he will be starting. Perhaps we see what we have in Ewers or whoever we draft or sign.

Those that want losses are used to participation trophies. The dip shiit that came up with that idea should have his nuts cut off.

Not misguided at all, trying to win every game, and cleaning house both give you very bad odds on success...Nobody has ever started as bad as Miami, yet win it all or even reached the playoffs, at the same time nobody has cleaned house and ever made a quick trip to the playoffs of even suoerbowl. The poll is of both which odds are bad will fix anything would people take.

I and most would just say hell with it and try to be the 1st to maybe do something after starting so bad, heck we are fans, short for fanatics, so being a little crazy to hope Miami might do something is not a horrible thing if by some Extreme Miricle Miami actually does something.

Also I know what you might say, if by luck Miami does get in the playoffs, our coaching staff and Tua might be given a misguided chance to continue, and I agree McD and Tua should no longer be in the picture, but I have to still hope Miami still might make something out of this year.

understand your perspective. but i think hope is not a plan. most likely we finish w 7 or 8 hollow wins (hollow given the opposition), and nothing changes, and ross rolls back with mcdaniel and champ kelly as gm, tua will be the qb, and wash rinse repeat next year, but we shall see i guess.

ps i think the big issue is NOT which draft pick that we have, but it is who is doing the picking!

respectfully disagree, a winning culture isn't what McD has fostered here.

You are either a 1 or a 0 in the NFL, meaning you are a real contender or you're not

I think even in his best year of 2023 the Mike McDaniel Dolphins were not real contenders.
they choked away games against bad teams and were one and done in the playoffs.

The reason Vic Fangio and Jalen Ramsey couldn't wait to get out of here was largely because they didn't believe that Miami had any idea how to win.
We would’ve had home field throughout if not for half our team being injured. I mean we were signing retired pass rushers just to field a unit in that playoff game

A few teams have made the playoffs after a 0-3 start, and even a 1-5 start. No team has made the playoffs after a 1-6 start that I know of. I’m not sure there’s that much of a difference between 1-5 and 1-6 especially considering it’s a 17 game season nowadays.

Now, I don’t think the Dolphins make the postseason, but there’s a chance. And NFL history is filled with the hot team at the end of the season getting to the SB.

Yeah, can't disagree there.

Kind of surprised at the poll results.

I thought more would want to tank for draft picks and fire the HC.

The fact that we have so many polls / questions / discussions like this tells you how pathetic this franchise really is.

The real "question" is why do we end up in the same crap position so consistently.

And why does this franchise continually crap it's pants against winning teams when the games MATTER!

When is the last time this team won a BIG GAME against top shelf competition? A win that defined their season and provided BIG MOMENTUM into the playoffs?

Why does this team consistently SUCK when it matters?

Why does this team go on "winning streaks" when the games no longer matter (in real wOrld terms)?

Is this team some kind of perverse joke? Some kind of cruel joke on it's "fan base?"
