Can they afford the guy? If so he can produce. He played behind one of the worst OL's in history and will make another team very happy, With our luck that team will be NE!!!!!:bobdole:

NE doesn't run the ball that often either. If he wants to be the main guy in the backfield he'd go to a team that committed to the run first.

Why is the default always "... he'll go to NE and tear **** up"

Theres still a week and change to free agency...can we wait until that point to see if Lamar is going to walk?

Because...reasons...

This is rapidly becoming my new favorite off-season gif:

Cut Jennings and give Miller his 4 mil a year plus a nice signing bonus.

We need to try and keep our own and add talent not let it leave.

The market value on a running back like miller is hard to set.. Im guessing he gets 4-5 a year based on age and low usage.

or maybe because the prospect of Elliot at 8 who is much better at all phases will come about 2 million dollars cheaper....

There will be a ton of backs in free agency... let him walk. What has he done so great anyways? He's an average back.

i dont think the market for Miller is going to be as big as he thinks, 4 million or see me in the draft

This is simply not the case. Miller, for whatever reason, wasn't a focal point of the offense when he should have been. If Miami wants to have the offense it dreams of having, Lamar Miller needs to be the running back getting the ball.

Miller has turned into one of the better all-around running backs in the NFL, and while guys come out of nowhere every year, it doesn't mean Miller shouldn't be valued.

People like to make the "dime in a dozen" argument like all running backs have the same ability, but they don't. Miller is probably the most underrated running back in the league, and I can't name many other running backs I'd rather have than Miller. 6-years, $30 million. Sign me up.

And to the poster who suggested Elliot at pick No. 8...there are far too many needs to draft a running back that high in the draft.
