After watching the Patriots dismantling of the Dolphins defense, it is safe to bet on the front office going heavy on that side of the ball in the upcoming draft. The linebackers and secondary need the most help and I wouldn't be suprised if the fins draft two or three at each position. Now that the team finally reached the play offs...the next goal should be to catch and pass the Patriots. Kiko Alonzo has played decent this year but adding two outside LB's who can rush and cover the TE would help the D. Also another shut down CB to Pair with Xavian Howard would do wonder for the pass defense...as would another safety along side Reshad Jones. The fins giving up too many rushing yards due to poor LB play. The secondary has been suspect but missing some guys to injury. The offense only needs more depth on the oline and a back up RB and should be good to go next year in in my opinion. Thoughts on how to improve the team next year?

I would most likely look into 2 LBs in FA, I'd likely spend my 1st on a LB, and draft LBs with my next 3 picks for depth.

Obviously I'm exaggerating but you get my point. Quite possibly the worst LB crew in the history of the league. Here's my plan:

Give BA one more year, sign a guard and a solid backup center, draft a guard early.
Resign Sims as he should be fairly cheap or look to the draft for another TE, release Cameron of course.
Resign Stills.
Nothing at QB, RB, or WR

Release Mario, Jordan, Mitchell, Misi, Butler, and Jenkins
Resign Branch and Kiko
Sign depth DE and draft a high upside rusher
Sign depth DT and draft a late big body
Sign 1 or 2 LBs and Draft one early
Draft safety or CB in mid rounds

I know this is not popular, but we have to draft a OG or OT in the first 3 rounds.

Think people are overreacting. We gave up 35 points but the matt moore int put them at the 45 yardline which resulted in a fg. The fumble set them up at the 18 and they scored a td. So the offense gave them an easy 10 points. While it seemed like they were bad and yes they werent very good, i think the whole defense getting shredded and it being terrible is a little exaggerated.

I think we can survive another year with the players we have in the secondary. We definitely need 2 OLBers, but we also need to look at DE, as the players we have are aging. Mario Williams has been useless this year, and Wake is quickly reaching the end of his career. Branch is only signed for this year.

The defense was exposed in week 2. The team has overcome it.

Nah I disagree . . . this draft is loaded on defense. We need help on defense.

You have 4 pieces set on the OLine . . . grab a mid tier OG in FA and something on day 3.

You absolutely have to draft defense . . . there is no exception. We've neglected it enough.

I agree with the LBers, but I do not see there being a urgency in the secondary. We will be getting back both Jones and Ias, whom were a very good combo, and with a healthy '17 season should be a very very productive combo, one of the leagues better combos. The CBs are all set for now, our top 3 are very good, young and should improve in '17. For me it is LBers, LBers, Lbers and a DE.

Remeber we will be getting a fresh Deon Jordan in '17. Lets keep our fingers crossed that he can become the player that was drafted #3 overall. Would be a nice addition without using a draft pick.

There's no way we're drafting a guard early, at least we shouldn't. Have we not learn anything? How many times have we drafted a guard early that didn't work out for us. For once we should do it right and get a guard in free agency and that way we know what we're getting. The whole draft should go to defense with the possible exception of a TE. We need to get a LB and a guard in free agency and maybe another guy that can play guard/center. The draft should be DE/LB 1 and 2. whoever you don't get in the first round you get in the 2nd. This draft is loaded with defense so lets not waste picks on offense. We already did that last draft with Carroo

Ozzy rules!!

Who said that Howard was a shut down CB?

If you can not see this rookies ability, then you never will. Remember, he has only played 5 NFL games and has held his own in each. We are in good hands with this kid. Not to mention his size advantage.

Feel that you are right on. The majority of the draft should be defense. As mentioned outside a TE. We will need a guard or 2 or even 3. Depending what happens in the off season. What if they let Albert go, then Tunsil slides to LT and now we would need 2 guards. Need to take 1 guard and 1 tackle in every draft. How high depends. For this year, our top picks should be LBers, outside the top 1 or 2 rated TEs.
