But we do not look good yet either - not yet...I believe we will, but we got away with one yesterday BIG time.

We were crumbling at the end. We got a gift from Delhome. A rarity and we deserve credit for cashing in on that interception and proceeding to make plays all the way to kicking that field goal. I am concerned about that 4th quarter almost complete collapse. The way we were playing in the 4th quarter was very Wannyesque.

Ronnie Brown failed to lower his shoulder at the end of 58 yard run. This is something that I have noticed as epidemic amongst our offensive players, with the exception of McMichael, Welker and Heath Evans. Chambers does it with some regularity, I have seen Booker do it too. I have seen Boston fail to go after the ball (well documented on this site - and Chambers is guilty of the same).

I would have liked to have seen Ronnie go after that last defender with a vengence and see him try to run him over! Even if he gains only another yard or two it would be very Walter Peytonesque to go after defenders.

Saban has improved this team's killer instinct to an extent but it is NOT fully in place yet. And it will only get harder to do as the season goes on and teams and prognosticators begin to realize we have an amazingly talented team.

Saban gets tremendous credit for coaching a powerful first half and making enough adjustments to win. I know that against the Bills if we do not improve and improve greatly in our ability to finish what we start we will LOSE!

I think the only reason that wasn't a 97 yard td, is because is hamstring was bothering him

It looked like Ronnie pulled his hamstring on that play. I'd rather have him pull up and run out of bounds than lower his shoulder and hit a guy and miss the next 3 games because of an injury.

 Have you seen them play this year???

And the Boston thing wasn't his fault. Frerotte has either under- or overthrown him in all 3 games. Boston didn't become a 98-catch, 1,600-yard guy by not going for balls.

Ronnie only ran out of bounds because of a hamstring injury. He didn't avoid running over someone because he's failing to lower his shoulder. Trust me if he was 100% he would have easily ran over that defender. Boston hasn't been a threat since Frerotte has mainly overthrown to him. Last week against the Jets that pass Boston could have and probably should have caught, but he was double covered as well.

I was at the game and was seated on the row just behind the phins bench. and the trainers were working on the Hamstring on the drive before the long run. And immeadiately after the run, when sammie went in, the trainers proceeded to work on the muscle. If not for the injury its easily a TD.

Good to know. I was pissed that the commentators actaully suggested he may have faked a hammy pull so he could just run out of bounds. :fire:

We got a "gift from Delhomme"? Not hardly, more like Lance saw the TE stay in to block and that allowed him to read Delhomme, break on the ball, and return it back and put us in position. I think i'll credit Lance for that play instead of saying it was a gift.

Secondly, did you watch the game, have you read any of the news about Ronnie's hamstring? Do you actually watch the highlights? He pulled his Hammy and after getting all he could get, got out of bounds and allowed himself to save it from pulling more. Did you really just critisize a RB that ran for 58 yards from his OWN 4 yard line? Wow, talk about nit picking... We won, and at the end of the day, that is ALL that matters. I love seeing people comment on if this had happen or if that hadn't happen, well ya know what it DID or DIDN'T happen and we won, so just enjoy.

Brown breaks a 58 yard run, runs over a safety (I believe) enroute to that 58 yard run, but still gets critcized for not lowering his shoulder to gain an extra yard. Makes me shake my head.

Brian Baldinger I believe.
Yeah, that's him, and he's a moron. Did you see what he said before the game about his Fantasy player for this game being Stephen Davis? He said, "Davis figures to have a big day against this Miami Defense today"....

HUH?!?! Did I miss something? How on earth could he make that statement? Does he actually do any research on the teams he's covering each week?
