Couldn't grab Bart Scott, or Jason Brown, or Laverneus Coles but instead were able to snag the legendary players to:

Fill the void at CENTER:

I know Bill Parcells likes to make earn his bones through the NFL Draft, but so far this off-season i have to say i'm just not impressed. The money we spent on free agents would have been better off just saved.

Thanks I was hoping someone would finally start a thread saying that they weren't happy with free agency so far.

I like the Wilson signing, but three pictures is better than two pictures.

I think the Grove signing was a complete joke, and Berger i can only hope was brought in for depth on the line. Neither of those guys is any good, and the money we spent between the two of them would have been better saved.

Grove is a good player who is a nasty mauler in the running game!
He is definitely not worth that HUGE MONEY he got, but he is NOT
a FINESSE Player like some people say he is. He has played well and anchored
against both Jenkins and Wilfork and got after them in the running game as
well. Satele could not do that. Also don't forget until the fins got it together
in the second half, the Raiders were Gouging us with 5 to 6 yard runs. GROVE
had something to do with that (10th ranked rushing attack as well).

Actually, I think this has been a very good off-season. I am not sure that Grove over Brown was the correct move, but I am all for replacing Satele with Grove. I cannot believe you think Grove is a waste of money, but you are entitled to your opinion.

We did spend alot of money this off season. I dont know either player well enough to have an opinion. My question is more along the lines of what does it really matter if things go to being uncapped next season. It seems like most of the so called experts are expecting it to go that way. If it does do these contracts mean all that much to anyone other then ross? It will be intresting to see what Parcels does if his budget is increased.

Why do people keep questioning the TUNA? I personally think the Grove and Wilson signings were great.

I'll hold my tongue on whether Grove deserved his contract until I see him play for the phins and not the raiders.

Our head coach is an O-line coach for god's sake, do you think he has no idea that he passed up Brown for Grove? Get real, he knows, maybe he thinks grove is cheaper and has just as much up side.

No, he didn't anything to do with that game. He was inactive.......

You can't rely on the draft -- as you don't know what you will end up with ... regardless of what you would like

You must utilize some FAs - if for no other reason than to safeguard against getting shut out on draft day ! I believe Wilford was a prime example of this last year .... do they regret the signing now -- you bet, but AT THAT TIME it sure looked like a pretty solid pick-up.

My Bad ebozz.

I still like Grove and his toughness, strength and nasty attitude vs. his opponent he
is matched up against (Jenkins and Wilfork get ready for a fight).

It's cool! I ain't mad at ya....

I like Grove's mentality also. It remains to be seen how it will work out for him here....

They have signed a total of 6 free agents. Thoses free agents are Crowder, Bell, Carey, Wilson, Berger and Grove. Don't you consider that to be utilization of free agents?

I'm not sure how our draft affected our decision to sign Wilford. I do know that he was not the only free agent WR that was brought in. Wilford's signing did not pay dividends last year. How will this year's crop do? We won't know until they take the field, will we?

You can be the toughest, Strongest, with the Nastiest Attitude in the NFL, but if you cant stay healthy then you are no more valuable then the water boy.
