The Dolphins have designated QB Tua Tagovailoa for return from IR

This is the type of comment that gets you the Tua-hater label. You post stuff that is simply untrue in an effort to promote your opinion.

Tua - 6'1" 216 pounds

Wilson - 5'11" 215 pounds
Murray - 5'10" 206 pounds
Jackson - 6'2" 212
Watson - 6'2" 216
Tyrod Taylor - 6'1" 215
Drew Brees - 6'0" 209

It's also because Tua has a massive lower body and not as a thick upper body. It makes him look smaller than other players but if you look at his legs is like twice the size of the other qbs. If you look at same of the other players they are more balanced proportion wise. It actually helps Tua with his ability to throw the ball because all your power comes from your hips and lower body not upper body. Which is one of the reasons his accuracy is so on point.

I would really like to see Tua throw deep to Waddle at least 5 times this game. We really need to create that fear of a deep threat. I really dont think we drafted Waddle to catch 8 yard screens. I hope our offense gets way more aggressive. That is the only way to shut up all the negativity surrounding Tua. Prove them wrong!

IMO, his body type is nearly identical to Russell Wilson. He might be a touch slimmer in the upper body now but he much younger and will still fill out more. The point is that the claim that Tua does not have adequate size for an NFL is demonstrably false.

Ive seen both in t-shirts. Tua, is no Russel Wilson.
Russel Wilson looks like a steroid-using Pitbull in a t-shirt.
Posted some pics below. Russel Wislon, is built like a tank. Tua? See for yourself, his upper body is nearly devoid of muscle, lol. Look at his chest or lack there of.

Miami ranks 31st in total yards, 30th in passing yards, 31st in scoring, dead last in rushing yards, and has attempted the seventh-fewest passes of at least 15 air yards according to NFL Next Gen Stats. It's an area Tagovailoa worked on this offseason after attempting just 51 such passes in 2020 and completing 37%, which ranked 30th and 34th among qualified passers, respectively.

He showed signs of improvement in Week 1, attempting six passes of at least 15 air yards in a win at New England. He only completed two, but it seemed like he was taking to heart a piece of advice he received from Dolphins great and Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino.

Tagovailoa said Marino told him to "pick a guy and let it fly."

Tagovailoa seems to have the trust of his teammates, including Williams, who said the Dolphins have continued to "rally around" their quarterback.

"Tua has always been a leader in my eyes. I used to watch him at Alabama, too," Williams said. "He's seemed like the right guy for the job always, in my opinion. ... We're glad that he's back."

Can you look at their lower bodies and compare?

Wilson has spent more time in the weight room. They have nearly identical hand sizes and similar frames. Since they are nearly identical weights, Tua (as RobertHorry said) carries more weight in the lower body. Tua is young and has room to bulk up.

Tua said his ribs are not 100% healed but he‘s 100% ready to get back on the field. Also, he was already wearing a rib protector when he broke them.

Mistake to play imo. There’s still 12 more games after this one and the team is not committed to you anyway while flirting with Watson.
