That would be Game #3 of seven straight losses to start the 2011 season.

From that point on I gave up a lot of hope in this organization.

I still watch them, and I still root for them, but I don't carry the same hope. I keep waiting for it to change. After the first game this season, I thought that maybe this was the season I'd get some hope back.

But hope is lost ... again.

I don't put much wager into the first 3-4 games. After all, last year we we're 3-0.

What's good about this year is it's a decision year. I highly, highly doubt Philbin or Tannehill get much of a pass if they don't make an applaudable effort into the playoffs race.

That's kind of a strange mentality to have. Teams can change on a dime in just a year (Look at NFC South) and really how many players are still on the team from '11?

Anyway, I'll be an excited fan forever regardless how we do for 1 game, 2 games, or a season.

I don't blame the OP. Miami is in a "prove me you can win" situation with me. I don't expect them to ever make the playoffs or do anything close to getting the Super Bowl ever. Why would I have that hope? Show me you can do it and I'll be good to go.

Anything less than that is what I fully expect.

I agree with the OP. The fact that teams can turn on a dime only makes it worse, because Miami can't turn on a dime or dollar the last 10 years.
