The Dolphins made 13 new and returning assistant coaches available on Friday, and were gracious enough to transcribe every word they said.

In the coming days, we’ll use that library of information to help flush out some details about the staff Brian Flores has assembled.

But first, we thought it best to share what the group of men who followed Flores to Miami (and in a few cases, stayed here) think about the Dolphins’ latest head coach.

Some have known him for decades. Other did not meet him until recently.

Remains to be seen just how successful or not Flores will be - but it's hard to deny that so far in setting the foundation, he's doing most everything right!

I agree it's hard to deny that, but it's also hard to prove it too. Judging a coaching staff is extremely hard to do by anything other than their success.

I agree nobody should be screaming or even whispering Championship, but on paper, nobody should be disappointed.

As FA and then the draft come around, we are going to have a better picture how the coaching staff will be tackling the "Getting Miami back in the playoffs consistently" quandary.

Well, compare what Flores has done to Gase bringing over his father in law to look over Williams shoulder and Logains as OC. Or Zac Taylor being rejected by almost everyone for DC and bringing over Turner. I'd be a lot uneasier with the moves those 2 have made so far.

If we really do cut all the vets and start a real rebuild then it's going to be hard to judge any of these coaches early on. Regardless of the fact we'd know the tank is on, when your team lose game after game then people start blaming the coaches but in this case that would not be fair. Normally it takes at least 3 years to judge a draft. Well, with this coaching staff it might take that long too if all they have to work with is younger players including several UDFA's as I expect us to have.

Seems like the only one that's gotten away so far is Capers who signed with the Jags.

I just don't know how you could say O'Shea and Graham are clearly better. Everyone knows in hindsight it didn't work for Gase and co. Whether this staff ends up working is anyone's guess.

I have to say, on paper at least, this looks like
A strong coaching staff, lots of experience and rings between them. A coaching staff like this could win more games than expected. Whatever happens with the roster whoever is on the team will be well coached...

I'm more positive about Flores than any hire since Saban.

As long as he does what Saban didn't and get an elite QB the future is bright for the Dolphins.

.

Even thinking about who that QB Saban had a chance to draft just hurts all over..all due respect to Brown, Miami and Greenbay would have taken different routes if Miami had pulled the trigger on Aaron.
