There's not much that separates this team from now until training camp.

We still have question marks at free safety. Not everybody can come back from an ACL injury in 8 months. What is going to happen if Delmas isn't ready to return to the starting lineup by week 1? I'm not confident in any of the guys that are next up at free safety.

We've signed some promising undrafted inside linebackers, but these guys went undrafted for a reason. It's much more likely that none of them pan out than one of them coming in and being the answer on the inside.

The two guard spots. We still have no idea if Billy Turner will be an adequate starter. There's also a lot of faith that this fourth round guard we picked up will automatically be ready to start on day 1.

Albert's health is still a big question. I can't just assume that he's going to come into training camp in his pre injury form. If he doesn't, there's not much else on the roster that would be able to compensate for that.

Jordan Cameron is a concussion away from missing a significant amount of time. He's also had other injury issues in the past. Is Dion Sims ready to make the call as the No. 1 option at tight end if (and when) Cameron misses time this season?

Besides Landry and Sims, there isn't a receiver or tight end that has any kind of rapport or continuity with Tannehill. You can say Matthews, but he hasn't seen enough game action to say the two have continuity, and the same goes with Hazel.

Aside from Grimes, there isn't a sure bet at corner. There are six guys vying for the starting spot opposite Grimes, and another that will get significant nickel duty. While competition usually breeds success, we're relying on a lot of low-profile players to figure it out and fill a big role.

I wanted to play devil's advocate. Be gentle.

Every team has similar reasons for concern. If you look at the glass as half full you would feel better. There is no way to control any of the things you mention. Players step up all the time and we have players ready to step up.

There's another thread with another poster questioning ufa's...it happens!!! wasn't adrian (last name escaping me) the rb from the texans out of univ of tn undrafted?...wasn't wes welker?...anyway even if I'm wrong on those two IT HAPPENS...just because 32 teams "didn't think so" during the draft doesn't mean we didn't "get lucky"...
Pick your chin up my friend, this team is being built the way it needs to be.

I love what this FO has done this offseason and like what they did in the draft. I believe there is still more to come.. That being said I think the title of this thread should be "the back to earth" or The realistic thread".

We have alot of potential. This season depends on guys realizing their potential. Guys like Billy Turner and this Douglas guy. Guys like Chris McCain, etc

I'm confident Tannehill will have an even bigger season and take us to the playoffs

...and to top it off, the team plane could also crash on the way to first road preseason game - oh man we're screwed!

Questions will always be there, for every team. Nothing this team did in the offseason would have changed that. I'm not saying you're wrong but I do think there's a much deeper talent pool on this team than in a long time.
