Could Chad Henne have any influence on who we pick in the first round if the coachs believe he is the QB of the future for us. he is saying he wants a big WR and if he is the QB of the Future why not give him what he wants either trade for Brandon Marshall or draft Dez Bryant
 
Let's just say he's not the QB of the future (which I strongly believe he is our stud QB) shouldn't we want to get any QB a big strong #1 receiver?

Yes but should it be our #1 priority? NO! I still dont think everyone understands that our offense didn't have alot of trouble scoring points last season. We still have a solid running game and our WR our starting to shine a bit. Our biggest problem was letting other teams score points but not just letting other teams scoring points but letting them do it easily. We realy need to strengthen our defense. I promise that if our defense improves our offense is going to look alot better.
 
Chad Henne does have an influence on the Draft (see the selection of Brian Hartline last year) but I think most of the picks will be left up to the front office.
 
Trade for Boldin and draft Spiller! Then go after defense with the rest of our picks!

I never said it should be the #1 priority but let's also not pass on a potential great offensive player because you may feel we need defense. I'm not naming anyone in this draft as potentially great but for an example if CJ.Spiller is going to be a great offensive weapon why would you want to pass on him to get a good ILB, or a good NT. That makes little sense and would continue to keep us in mediocrity.
 
When Chad Henne speaks about the draft, crickets chirp in our front office. Henne may be the replaced first at #12 before Dez Bryant is drafted there.

This teams needs an SOLB desperately. Take Graham and call it a day.
 
Picture how good a Henne-Bryant combonation would be 2-3 years from now. I honestly think they would be a top 5 NFL QB/WR duo once they get their chemistry down.

Henne threw for 60.8 % 2,878 yards 12 TDs and 14 INTs in 14 games his first year starting with Bess as his #1 option.

MATT RYAN threw for 61.1 % 3,440 yards 16 TDs and 11 INTs in 16 games as a rookie with Roddy White as his #1.

JOE FLACCO threw for 60.0 % 2,971 yards 14 TDs and 12 INTs in 16 games as a rookie with Derrick Mason as his #1.

Henne is the goods, time to build around him.

That's a great stat comparison, it really shows how bad we need a dominant #1 WR for Henne to throw to.

I watched Henne throw at Michigan for 4 years, and was ecstatic when we drafted him in the 2nd round. He is the real deal, and will fill the shoes left by Dan Marino, I really believe he will reach that level.

Hopefully he'll get a ring though = )

I think it's a no brainer to draft dez if he falls to 12....if he's not there we need to go defense because we could tighten up a lot on d for next season through the draft BUT if Dez is there, we have to take him because we have needed a #1 WR for 10 years? longer? omg? lol

If we don't get Dez we need to trade for marshall or boldin.....BUT we won't, because we never pay the big money and trade for big time players....that's why we're so...mediocre...

im tired of just average. I want to ****ing WIN!!

I love Dez Bryant, but I'm against him in the draft because of our DEFENSE. The Saints had a 5000 yard QB and they still failed to make the playoffs... Our defense played at a level of such embarrassment that I'm at a loss of words. We should draft defense...

However I agree. If we can draft Bryant and somehow find a reliable TE (hopefully if Jermaine Gresham falls, or the Florida TE (forgot his name)), then the offense in a couple of years has the potential to be among the upper echelon of elite powerhouse offenses.

But I think that defense is a MUCH greater need.... Like we could replace our entire defense minus a couple of players...

i'd put that chance at 0.0 percent henne being replaced

chad henne worked out a bunch of wrs last year cause the front office requested that he do it...and he was very high on brian hartline who the regime drafted...

my favorite thing is to hear how guys know with absolute certainty that a certain position won't be drafted with our 1st rounder...bottom line is you really have no idea...

i heard parcells would never take an underclassman with a 1st round pick...we took cb vontae davis despite character rumors all over the place...

i heard parcells would never draft a 190 lb qb from a gimmick offense...we took pat white at #44...

dez bryant may not come here...we may never have a shot or we may pass but i can say that personally i think that any team outside the top 5 picks who doesn't already have a legit #1 wr is gonna regret the decision to pass on this kid...he's that kind of talent imo...heck he's top 5 talent in the draft for me...

Having Henne to Bryant would be a great Combo i would love to see it if dez is there at 12 it would be very very hard to pass up then draft a Reciving TE later in the draft maybe Ed Dickson i think we would have a very good Offense if that was to be the case and i always see people writing on how we are suposed to build through the draft and then when the offseason comes they complain when we dont get the big FA names well this would be building throuh the draft and would be very nice
