The NFL draft will kick off in prime time for the first time in 2010, it was announced Thursday. The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft will start on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the second and third rounds on Friday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET.

The draft will continue to be televised by ESPN and NFL Network. The 2010 NFL Draft -- the 75th draft in NFL history -- again will be held at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

"We continue to look for ways to make the draft more accessible to more fans," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said. "Moving the first round to prime time on Thursday night will make the first round of the draft available to fans on what is typically the most-watched night of television."

The 2009 NFL Draft (Saturday, April 25-Sunday, April 26) drew a record 39 million viewers on NFL Network, ESPN and ESPN2. Total NFL Draft viewership increased 66 percent from 2001 to 2009 (from 23.5 million to 39 million).

The first round of last year's draft on ESPN and NFL Network drew a combined average of 6.3 million viewers, topping all basketball, hockey and baseball games that weekend.

The NFL draft was a Saturday-Sunday event from 1995 to 2009. It took place on Sunday and Monday from 1988 to 1994, and prior to 1988, it was held on one or two weekdays.

gimme

Berry
Bryant
Mcclain
Spiller

or trade down for

Jerry Hughes
Dan Williams
Terrence Cody
Golden tate
Earl Thomas

I think if McClain is there we snag him. If not we trade down and get Jerry Hughes, Dan Williams or Brandon Spikes.

If McClain isn't there I would like to get Bryant but I just don't know how realistic that is.

Then in the second we draft our future #1 WR. Lafell or Benn should both be there. I'd rather have Benn but Lafell might due.

McClain or Spiller are the two biggest impact players we could get!

Dez Bryant please. McClain would be great, but you know he's going to Denver.

Parcells hates WR and Henning is senile, so chances are we draft someone to fill Pat White's spot if he has any longterm brain problems.

plz get Dez Bryant huge need plus we can get a really good ILB in the second with Micah Johnson

i dont think McClain will get passed oakland

i think the consensus here is to get one of mclain, dez bryant, or c.j. spiller and i agree 100%. if we get any of those guys, expecially bryant or spiller for our offense, ill be estatic.

Spiller is a luxury, not a need. I highly doubt McClain will last to #12 or whatever spot we're designated to get, and I'm not sold on Dez Bryant. There are a number of college players who absolutely starred in their Junior year only to see their draft spot fall their Senior year. And Bryant only played 3 games his senior year... Anyone remember how Brian Brohm fell from being a top-10 pick to being picked in the later rounds of the draft?

I say trade down (picking up a second while at it), and take Earl Thomas. Then, wait (or trade up) for either Jermaine Gresham and/or Brandon Spikes.
