...is Ryan Tannehill's performances during prime time games.

Let me preface this by saying I fully support RT, but one thing I've noticed is that when the lights get brighter, RT becomes a worse QB.

In 6 career Prime Time games, here are his QB ratings:
46.9
92.6
57.9
77.7
114.8
64.6

He has also thrown 4 touchdowns and 8 interceptions during these games.

It is now officially a trend.

He's actually a good quarterback, but that is one reason he gets no respect nationally, because those are the only Dolphins games some people watch.

Also, anyone notice that we're 3-0 when we play at 1 p.m. this year, and 0-4 when we don't?

Too many mistakes on offense in general - that pretty much was the story of the game for us as far as i'm concerned. The defense did OK under the circumstances (e.g. offense not helping at all). Tannehill did not play well, but he had plenty of help playing poorly. Mistakes on offense, drives killed, defense out on field against a team with a lead and momentum.

Um................ in prime time games we are playing a good team. we arn't on prime time because people want to see us, we are because the other team is good. Tannehill just isn't very good ( I have been a supporter of his all along, i'm done lying to myself).

But the point is, he's especially not very good in Prime Time. He's a borderline deer in the headlights at times (although he was running for his life last night).

If the other team rushes three guys and drops the rest in coverage can he figure out which receiver to throw to regularly? It seems like he will throw a pick or do his favorite move, the wait to be sacked shuffle. The game plan has to be perfect for this guy to succeed, plus he has to have great blocking, plus the defense has to be dumb enough not to know his flaws. He will still get hot, but good teams will figure him out. Spit your gum out and show me a little fire Ryan!!!

So you might as well say he is especially bad against good teams. Maybe a better comparison would be his QB rating against teams with say a .600 win percentage or higher for the year. I suspect that will tell you everything you need to know.

The sobering reality is he isn't good in any game the Dolphins need to get over the hump.

See week 16, 17 in 2013 against Buffalo and the Jets. See week 14, 15 last year against Baltimore at home, and in New England.

Any "swing game" against a quality or better than decent divisional or conference opponent, and he folds like a lawn chair.

He did this in college too.

This is who Ryan Tannehill is.

Sadly, I am slowly coming around on this fact, but unlike others on here, I will continue to support our QB as long as he's our QB.

he doesn't step up when it matters. we all knew this about him.
he's got all the tools to be great but he never seizes the moment.

Every one on this board should support RT as he is our quarterback. I don't think any one hates him. But the people who cannot see his flaws are in denial. We had the same discussions about Henne. RT is better than Hene, but he has reached his ceiling. When he threw that horrible int. you could hear the wind come out of our sails.

Could've fooled me. Some people, especially after a loss, act like Tannehill kicked their dog then pissed in their Cheerios...

I was ready to drink the Koolaid, in fact I had a pitcher of it in my fridge, and then the same old Tanny showed up. I will support him because he is the QB and a good guy. I will not pretend I have any high expectations for him or this team though.
