All I have seen this season is a team that beats itself, you cant hang around in six games until the end and not have at least some talent, they are losing because they are choking when it counts, fumbles, penalties, bad play calling, missed assingments when it really hurts late in games for big plays the other way, the worst part is all that needs to happen is for it to stop and you win games, but even at 1-5 if it changes it is probably too late, I HATE LOSING NOW IT IS BECOMING NORMAL AT THAT HAS TO CHANGE

It used to be sacks and penalties that killed us with CPep in. Now its turnovers and penalties.

It has been the situtation since the beginning...we keep beating ourselves...

Absolutely,

No real running game -------- we chose a running back 2nd overall

Can't get to the quarterback---------we blitz almost every down

Can't catch most passes--------our leaders are receivers

And finally, can't score points------and have experienced coaching

This is a recipe for disaster

drops, penalties and broken assingments at the worst time all the time, since shula retired

Bonedoc...I agree 100%.

Sooner or later the players need to be held accountable for their miserable play. Eddie Jackson getting burnt was just a bonehead play. If it was a run, it was to the opposite side of the field. His job was to cover the WR and he totally blew it. Tillman's pass int. and TD allowed were just horrendous plays. Chambers, McMichael and Hagan killed the team with dropped passes. Sammy Morris stunk. His fumble was huge and his personal foul on the final punt return cost us 15 yards in field position, which may have cost Mare at the end. And, of course, Mare shanked another big kick.

While Saban and the rest of the staff deserve some of the blame for this train wreck of a season, its clear that these players are not making the plays that good teams make.

the problem is they keep us in the games enough to have us think it may be changing soon, then the same results, you almost have to clean house

An a offensive line full of back ups and castoffs, and what did coach called Chambers last year. We have to many of those kind of players on this team.

yea i agree i'm not happy with the personel we have at safety or that we drafted a guy not smart enough to grasp what were doing on d. but at some point the players need to execute. 5 dropped passes 2 on 3rd down sammy morris should never carry the fb. chris chambers can't get open but on 5 yd outs. the players need to be accountable and the coaches for the personel we have. i know alot of its from the wannspeil era that were in salary cap hell but eddie jackson , michael lehan , trav tillman couldn't possibly make any other teams roster.jason allen has to be better than these guys

Man, I was just saying to myself that the core of this team is the problem and needs to be made over. Its the same thing every year. The Defense is good but not great and always seems to make the critical mistake. The Offense can't score enough points. The O-line stinks and continues its stupid penalties. The QB play is sub-par. Receivers drop too many catchable passes. It doesn't seem to matter who the coaches are. I'm at a loss other than coming to realization that we stink.

Add not capitalizing on takeaways to that list. Whenever our defense delivers with a big play our anemic offense doesn't score tds.

I should also add:

1. The D can't get off the field on 3rd down
2. The O can't convert on a 3rd down
