I can't stand Fades its an auto lose of down and the percentages are to risk reward. Odds are your reciever catches it in bounds is 68%, odd are it gets swated are 71%. All facts from wiki. Can we never throw a fade ever again! Esp on a 4th down. Enough with this fade crap to a 5'11 reciever.

Tannehill is a stud though. Cant wait for comments by players on hardknocks tuesday

We were just talking about that.....the ball should not be thrown anywere close to out of bounds unless it's a bullet to the back of the endzone on a fourth down play like that....smh

Great first outing for Tannehill...perfect for getting some confidence against 2s and 3s as opposed to going against 1s in your first game action (e.g. Weeden). Things are setting up for him to take the starting job.

I hate fades too, mostly because we've never had a receiver who makes them automatic.

It only works with elite WRs and QBs. That's why it has failed miserably in Miami the past decade+ No elite WR or QB. How many times did it fail with Marshall last year? Marshall btw looks like garbage. At least when the Bears get tired of him, they can ask his wife what's the best way to cut him.

Check the new sig, and please tell me some of you guys noticed this right when it happend and would have honestly threw a flag. Not even trying to be a homer but it was soooooo obvious!

Ed freakin hackalie would have thrown the flag for cryin out loud!!!

You do realize that Wiki is user generated content, right?

The key to the fade is... well -- the key to everything in the game:

90% of the game is half mental.

I have at least four or five bitchfits about fade routes every year. We've never been able to throw them consistently. Hell, I think less than 1 in 10 connect for us. Stop using it!

LOL @ Check the new sig.

Fans will complain and blame refs it doesn't matter who is in the stripes.

You guys would boo your own Mother or significant other if she were a ref.

Plaxico would up that % & hes always been good at jumpballs but I just cant stand his pos stupid ass! Do don't want him here neither!

I don't know where you get this "TANNEHILL's a beast" crap. He made so many poor decisions/"reads" that I stopped counting. It's a good thing WALLACE and PRUITT got him "off the hook" a few times. But that doesn't make his lousy "reads" good.

Still, all in all, he did a pretty good job. But he needs learning and experience...bad...because many of his "reads" were atrocious. He'll get away w/it against 3rd and 4th string future burger flippers, but NOT legit NFL CBs.

Could not agree more about the fades. I have a feeling that with Fasano, Clay, and ideally, an emerging Agnew it is going to be a lot more drawing attention to the middle of the field, and then opt to a back shoulder throw or WR crosses.
