I'm not sure if this was already mentioned yet. Is everyone glad that Saban decided to kick the field goal rather than try for the td?

ill admit i was pissed off that he went for the field goal.
looking back he made the right choice, which wasn't a popular one.

the call really didnt bother me. i wasnt too confident in gus anyway and it was only the second quarter

well at the time i was half pissed, but it was cause how the game was going, looking back at it, if we went for it and didnt score we would of never won....

We needed points, flat out we needed points, I wanted a TD of course, but I liked the call even during the game
I thought it was the obvious call and that the fans who were booing were going on emotion not logic.

It's was a pretty simple call really with an entire half of football to play, down by 21 and inside the redzone you take the points. With 3 points there and recieving the second half kick it's possible for 10 point swing before Buffalo touches the ball again.
I was pissed that we didn't get a TD, but you have to get points on the board. he had to take the FG

I was suprised, it looked to me like they were gonna go for it. But then they kicked the FG. I said immediately after "whoo hoo no shut out" and that was it, I just said I hope we can build off of 3.

It was the right call.....said it then and still say it. While a lot of people at the time were probably saying he was an @ss for not going for it......I think that it showed great restraint on Saban's part to not risk it and make the intelligent call.
