Consensus seems to be Schottenheimer, I could live with him, so long as we can keep Capers as DC.

I'm starting to think Schottenheimer's going to get the job. I don't have a problem with that. With Capers staying on we'll have a good defense again and we will have somebody that will be able to make the most with what we have on the offense.

thats definately how the tree is shaking and if he wins the job lets move and and get better-

Tomlin wont win because we just signed Capers a 3-4 Guru to an extension Tomlin is 4-3-Cover 2(am i correct- i mean he works for Gruden) If Cameron wins tommorow he will all but have to relenquish his place in the final 4 unless WH and crew wait it out, Chan Gaily might win the job-i dont know what are his chances but Brian might just get this job

No, you aren't correct. Once again, Mike Tomlin may have coached for five years in Tampa Bay, but HE DID NOT RUN THE TAMPA 2 IN MINNESOTA!!

Why would a young coach like Tomlin refuse to let a proven veteran like Capers run his own defense?

I don't believe that Tomlin is ruled out as a head coach simply because Capers is sticking around. Saban is a defensive coach, and Capers had no problem working under him. Capers also worked under Bill Cowher without a problem.

And if you want to develop and improve the offense, hire an offensive coordinator to be an offensive coordinator, let a good head coach run the whole show.
