at the lb position that once the rb gets thru the dline and Zach doesnt get to the rb we are in trouble cuz Zach is very instinctive but he lacks speed to catch up and our other best lb crowder is good too but not too fast either and the rest of the lbs we brought in suck.

I cant believe Saban didnt see this problem.LB Barrett Green is better than Newman or Hodge.Lets bring in Berryman and Dixon i dont know if they are instinctive players but ºat least they are athletic and with speed to catch up n not let a TE run almost the whole field for a TD.

Our only problem is our secondary is a little off right now, but we will be alright. And maybe our OL needs to get a little more physical on run-blocking.

Did you see the rsults of Berryman or Dixon's workouts?

:yeahthat:

It's always easy for the arm-chair GMs.

Saban attempted to sign Washington's LeVar Arrington but he chose the Giants. There's only so many players available through FA and so much cap money. When you draft college kids, it's always a gamble. One "can't miss" player drafted in the Top 5 (Oakland's Robert Gallery) turns bust while some undrafted kid rips up the league (Pitt's Willie Parker). We're not even talking about injuries, either.

Gotta love these fix it guys who know far more than Saban, just don't understand why he's not consulting them!

When Zach is exposed, his weaknesses are exposed. If the line keeps people off him, and the secondary covers their man Zach is a beast. Leave him along with a TE or let the OL grab him or block him out, forget it.

Listen... gee how many tackles did Zack make last year.... hmmm and where was that as far as his ranking on the team... same goes for Crowder....

Zack misses a rare tackle.. and hes washed up.. you know threads, like this are washed up.

In ONE game, ONE runningback behind one of the best lines in the league makes ONE quality run, and a problem has been exposed and we need to go out and grab some undersized linebacker off the street?

Our Lbs are actually very good runstoppers but Crowder is the only one with any ability to cover. Our run defense is fine, our passing defense is what needs work.

Quite happy with the LB core's tackling. They are (if you dont count Taylor) below average blizters though (Newman I guess isnt bad). I actually thought at times in the Steeler game that we seemed to get a better push when we just rushed four without any blitzes.
