Can anyone tell me why the Texan's player who caught the ball and took three strides before getting smacked, and losing the ball was ruled NOT a fumble? Were the refs paid off???? I saw the replat at least five times and every time I watched it it was clear the WR caught the ball and lost it.

Then Ginn also makes a great catch for a TD and some dumb dumb gets called for tripping....These things only happen to Miami. Anyone else have similar thoughts about the fumble that wasn't????

The tripping call was dumb . . . but legit.

The no fumble was just horrible . . . and they should have let the Henne/Ginn bomb stand because they blew this one.

What can we do man? The ruling on the field was an incomplete pass. They would never admit to being wrong with that call. Happens all the time. We can't dig ourselves in a whole that big and put it on the refs to save us.

I have thoughts, but I better keep them to myself. I don't wanna lose my last little red square over here. :)

That fumble was painfully obvious. Isn't instant replay designed just for those times with the refs just plain blow it? Why have stupid rules about what is review-able and what is not? When everyone knows it's a mistake FIX IT!

What happened on that play? I'm reading alot about it here. Did we challenge it and lose the challenge or something?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the game around here anywhere (internet included). First game I couldn't watch all season. Perhaps, that's a good thing.

What I don't understand is why that play was allegedly not eligible to be reviewed. Completions are reviewed all the time and I've seen this situation reviewed before, I can't recall specific game. Can someone explain how a completion wasn't eliglible for review in this particular case?

that was a brutal call..he took 3 steps before he fumbled..

The ruling on the field was an incomplete pass, as in dead ball. They didn't want to admit they made a mistake, even when the replay showed otherwise. That is all.

they blew the play dead before it was clearly recovered... so a review wouldn't matter because even though it was CLEAR we were going to get the ball, when the whistle blows players can stop and what happens after the whistle can not be counted...

i believe thats the reason its not reviewable... but it was bull**** in the first place, he took like 5 steps, how could that even be considered an incomplete pass?

One of the most ridiculous calls ever, and of course it happened against us.
First the refs take the Saints game away from us, and then ream us on the Camirillo call vs. the Titans, then this. WTF?

I don't think we would have won this one anyway, but c'mon man. The Polite call on the Ginn TD was icing on the cake.

Does anybody remember us getting the benefit of a call that turned out to be bogus?

The was that one catch (Bess I believe) that would have been overturned, but the replay equiptment didn't work... but that's about the only one I can think of. They have gone against the Fins way more than for.

Completions/incompletions are looked at all the time via review. There should be a review rule change, PI calls (unlikely but needed) and this type of thing. They shoulda went to the booth said, OK the ball is ruled complete then say based on that there was a fumble on the play and possession goes to the recovering team where they picked it up at. I know for a FACT most teams have been screwed like this before. The problem is the refs are given too much power and there's little checks and balance in the game, they're buddies and like all buddies would never admit the other messed up on the job!
