I believe it was 17-0 or 17-3 at the time. Dolphins were around midfield. Gore almost ran for first down, but was a yard short.

Instead of trying to run for 1 yard, Gase dials up a bomb to Stills instead. Incomplete. All the momentum shifted after that. I thought at the time that would be costly...

Gase outsmarted his damn self.

its an automatic first down for the Patriots, every time

wow they are genius

100% agree. Actuallt Gore had first down, refs boned him.B

Gore got the first...

Gase should've challenged. Unbelievable how stupid he can be sometimes

I am glad someone posted this and if Gase does not get roasted for this I don't know what to do.
EVERYTHING changed with that. It was a stupid call- stupid. 17-0, mid 3rd quarter .5 yard to go, Gore is balling, on the road and he gets cute.
Wait and see...season ended here.

it did and everyone knows it. the play call was clear, but gase is an arrogant asshole who thinks he knows better and decides to trust a decidedly crappy quarterback to make a huge play.

this game was totally lost by gase and tannehill

There were many third and short situations that the dolphins should have ran for it and did not. I saw at least three occasions where Tannehill could have ran for the first down but chose to try and throw it. In the words of Charles Barkley "Terrible, Terrible."

Gase needs to relinquish play calling duties if he wants to continue being head coach. His arrogant decisions are costing this team dearly. Dowell Loggains can't be any worse.

That was my “if we lose this game” moment. You’re spot on. I think the spot was wrong too. Coaches over coaching. It never ceases to amaze me how they can’t get out of their own way sometimes.

It was 14-0 at halftime and 17-3 after three quarters. The Dolphins then allowed 24 unanswered points to lose by 10. Laughable collapse— I mean, we’d all be laughing had it been the Jets in the Dolphins’ place.

Seems silly to point out the game turned at any one point when the fourth quarter was clearly a master class in how to lose a football game— and a pretty good job of wrecking the season as wel.
