He was having a serious conversation with Steve Smith at the combine . . . serious, but he was animated. I was like damn this guy can relate to anybody and everybody and look just as cool as he can while doing it.

If that's why Stills turned down a higher offer from the Eagles or 49ers to stay here, that's fantastic and we should all be happy to read it.

Of course, he also might have turned down marginally higher offers from those teams because those teams are a couple of hot messes and any deal they sign him to is going to wind up with him getting cut in two years and worth significantly less on the open market than he was now.

(No, I do not have a high opinion of Carson Wentz.)

Its real and Miami is once again becoming a desired option for players.

Not much else to say. After the Eagles started 3-0, he was getting sucked off by the national media as if he was the best young quarterback in the game and a future perennial All-Pro.

In reality, he was throwing screen passes that kept going for big plays on the strength of good blocking and good open field running. He very much reminds me of Blake Bortles in that he might be a great guy with good physical attributes, can show fairly nifty moves to escape pressure, and he's probably even a great teammate and leader, but he throws the ball like a ****ing ********.

You can't fix a guy who can't deliver an accurate football. Wentz isn't Bortles bad in that category, but he's bad. When you're frequently throwing worm burners and air mail on throws within five yards of the line of scrimmage, that's a huge problem.

Trevor Siemian is a better NFL quarterback than Carson Wentz. Right now, anyway.

Two amazing aspects of Adam Gase:
(a) As the Bears Offensive Coordinator, he related well to Jay Cutler and improved his play.
(b) As Tim Tebow's QB Coach in Denver, he got the most out of a QB with a 47% pass completion percentage and helped to get Denver into the playoffs.
It seems that everybody likes Gase.

He even hurt his elbow with his throwing motion.

He may have the size and measurables, but he definitely has some work to do to his game.

True story.

Look at the deal Torrey Smith just got in Philly.

Torrey Smith is a pretty good receiver in the same mold as Kenny Stills; he's a deep specialist who is good at what he does. He's four years older, but he's a good football player with a similar skillset who is known for being an outstanding locker room leader. He only got 3 years / 15 million. And apparently not much guaranteed.

That's what signing with a ****ty team for a little more AAV will do for you in the NFL. You get cut in two years and then move on to another team for less money.
