People for a long time have wanted ireland fired, and seems like its about to happen so maybe this saga might help our franchise. Ireland hasnt built a winner til today and as of recently we were on a 4 game losing streak. Philbin is suppose to be this guru of x n os but his offense stinks n his players dont seem to respond very well to him. so he can go 2 after this latest screw up. Aponte can go also with her parcells like way of doing things. This franchise can be cleaned soon, ross will clean house n hire some High level Rep coaches/gms.

Lets get cowher, give him full control, let um hire his own gm, staff, waterboys, security whatever. Restore respect for this once great franchise, it starts with landing bill cowher.

Cowher, Gruden, etc. might not want to come here sadly. If we have a bounty gate type punishment coming our way, that will be a turnoff to the big names. Even if we don't lose draft picks, or even had this situation, these guys might have "better" options on the table.

Bill Cowher hasn't coached in 7 years. I don't think he's eagerly waiting to jump on the first team who offers him.

He's a name, so I'm sure Ross will go after him. But is he a great coach? Meh.

If Bill Cowher were to return to coaching it will be with the Giants or the Panthers. The Giants are the more probable landing spot barring a convincing turnaround.

I wouldn't want cowher he'd be coming for one last payday before retirement, have u listened to. Him? The game has passed him by

u cant be serious, your talkin about a HOF superbowl winning coach here....

On one hand, he took a team with Neil O'Donnell to the Super Bowl. On the other hand, how many years did he stick with Kordell freaking Stewart? No thanks.

Maybe goodell tells ross if he fires everybody he wont doc any picks?

anyone else think that if we clean house from top to bottom that perhaps marino will be brought in an elway-esque role?

i think the time huizenga brought him in felt forced and perhaps marino is at a point where this would appeal to him...

Nothing good can come out of this. This is a complete and utter embarrassment and disgrace at this point. It starts with the owner.

His failure to come out in that press conference instead of sending Philbin, and sharply and categorically condemn the actions and culture that has led to this, and promise to sort it out and eliminate bullies and their enablers is nothing short of despicable. Moreover, to not come out and publicly offer a helping hand to these two young man who are troubled, each in his own way, shows complete lack of leadership and compassion.

Instead he sent Philbin out who just like him said nothing mature, and passed on the responsibility to the big brother, the NFL.

Those men are not men, they are children. It's not surprising they lack everything that a leader of men should possess, integrity, decency, wisdom, maturity, wit.

These days are the lowest point in the history of the franchise. The team will never amount to anything with these halfwits. May they all leave the Miami community soon. The community deserves better men.

Haven't we seen enough of faded legends looking for a final paycheck? I'm not worried about it, because Cowher has options if he wants to come back and wouldn't pick Miami.

When Huizenga bought the Dolphins, all he did was look for a Daddy to come in and fix things. JJ, Saban, Parcells. It takes more than that. You have to build a quality organization. People who have talent and smarts but know their role. It takes an active owner, but not an overbearing one like Jerry Jones or Dan Snyder. Instead, we brought in all these alpha figures and their bootlickers. There are very few long time employees of the Dolphins because of the regime changes, and they weren't allowed to groom replacements, so we've lost any sense of team culture or identity.

You think that ten years later, Marino magically now wants to put in the hours required to evaluate players?

I doubt it.
