The good:
1. I was (frankly) shocked by how well our TE's played. I thought this was the weakest group of the team but I was very wrong.
2. I thought the pass defense played well for the most part. They had a few breakdowns but over all better then I expected.
3. Brown looked good on the few touches he got. I think he is still recovering from the knee injury and I'm OK with them bringing him along slowly.
4. The Rookies, We had six rookie in the lineup today. Over all I thought they played well (not great but well)
5. We did a good job containing one of the best returnmen in the NFL

The Bad:
1. Our WR's are just bad, I realize what the team is doing by building from the inside out but good grief.... Have the Fins ever fielded such a bad set of receivers?
2. Roth and Porter were not able to contain the edges vs. the run.
3. I'm sorry but I do not see what everone see in Satele. He is Avg at best...

The Ugly:
1. The OL just did not play well today. That is to be expected considering we have two rookies and a 2nd year guy starting.
2. The kicking game left a lot to be desired. several line drive punts and a shank. a Kickoff out of bounds.... nuff said.
3. The refs were as bad as I have ever seen. We can talk about the Goodman PI (bad call) but I just dont get how you miss a delay of game on a third down play. The tripping call on Long was something that happens on just about every play in the NFL. The hold on Starks was not a blatant hold but the OL grabbing Starks arm did have an effect on the play. Much larger effect then Longs tripping.

I think the refs have something against us as always. They screwed us over plenty of times in this game.

When I was watching the game I saw better pass protection than I have seen in a long time, most plays that is

the run game was stifled often

our run defense was subpar

I'd love to know how Lowery's two hand push in the end zone wasn't called. I hate too blame refs but after they called the one on Goodman (which was just hand battle ) how was the push stopping our WR to getting to the back of the endzone okay.
I thought J.Long played well, his holding called was iffy at best but I liked what I saw.

1. I agree. I expected Fasano to do well but man did Martin play his *** off.
2. I thought the pass defense was pretty bad tbh. Crocker i expect will not be starting in front of of Jason Allen next week.
3. Brown IMO looked better than Ricky as far as running the ball is concerned. Ricky did have a clutch catch in the 4th quarter though. I am really hoping for Brown to start next game.
4. I agree. Our rookies looked ok out there.
5. I agree. Our coverage on ST coould use a little bit of work though

1. Totally agree. Our WR's were a non factor out there. But I will give the Jets credit though, they have an outstanding secondary.
2. I disagree. Most of the big gain runs were up the middle.
3. I agree. Satele looked average today.

1. I agree. However our O-Line looked pretty good pass blocking although there were a few breakdowns. Run blocking could use some improvement.
2. I agree. Punting was ok, coverage didnt look too good though i can't complain
3. I agree, Refs were horrible, however I dont see how anybody can complain about Goodman's Pass Interference, he actually did commit a penalty there, however the refs did a great job not calling many PI's on the Jets when there were plenty of them. Bad officiating seems to be happening alot in the NFL these days.

It's come full circle. When Shula was coach, I recall plenty of bias claims for the Dolphins because Shula was on the competition committee.

I don't know, I don't really buy into the whole referee conspiracy theory. The Dolphins are one of the more popular teams in the NFL. If anything we should be getting more calls for than against.

I agree with all of your good points. Roth clearly did not contain on the touchdown. We knew he was going to make mistakes, but he made a big one there.

I was very disappointed in our offensive line in the running game. I expected more. The pass defense was ok given the complete lack of respect for the running game.

I am very mad at the decision to play Crocker over Jason Allen. That decision may have lost the game for us. Chris Crocker was horrible today.

1. He was badly out of position on the first touchdown. I thought he had great range.
2. He was too far off Washington, and he looked like fool.

I saw Langford make a number of good plays. He needs to play more.

While I don't scrutinize each player like many of you do, I tend to watch the ball and follow the play.

However, I am curious to see the breakdown of Satele and Thomas. Of the pressure I saw getting to Chad, I noticed a lot of it was coming from what looked to be the RG spot. I noticed Satele getting pushed back several times, but he was doing very well considering he was against one of the better tackles in the league - who is bigger than he is.

I'm curious to see just how much of the breakdowns up front were Satele's fault vs. Donald Thomas' fault. I'm believing that Satele was surrending pressure where as Thomas was surrendering sacks. I'm open to being wrong.
