They were generally up on the Dolphins overall on both sides of the ball except they hate the linebackers and aren't sure about the CBs after Grimes. They both have reason to believe the offense won't just be improved but actually good. Barnwell is actually predicting playoffs. :hump:

Their predictions:
Bills
Mays 5-11
Barnwell 6-10

Dolphins
Mays 8-8
Barnwell 9-7

Patriots
Mays 12-4
Barnwell 11-5

Jets
Mays 7-9
Barnwell 7-9

Reasonable. Although I think we are capable of 10 wins. I also think that the Bills have a more talented squad than the Jets do this year.

I wouldn't bet on it, but I could see the Pats start to decline to the 10 wins range...

They kind of scoff at our CB situation if we have to rely on Finnegan but I actually predict Finnegan will be not only good but one of the better CBs in the entire NFL this year. And if Davis is as good as he looks in camp we could have the best nickel CB packages in the league. I think the LB corps will be at least improved, even if that means we have to play one of the youngsters at times.

I'm still worried more about offense, especially the guard situation, but if they're right that Tannehill's biggest strength as a QB might be play action and Lazor looks to use a lot more play action the offense could be fine. Plus I think Tannehill is much better when we get him in motion, he may not be more accurate necessarily but I think if you get him moving around that could trigger some of that innate pocket awareness more often.

I also think the NFLs plan to call more defensive holding helps us and hurts teams like the Bills and especially the Jets, or any team that relies heavily on running and stopping the run.

Agree on both point, but Geno is better than EJ and I'm taking a Rex lead defense over Buffalo's.

I also agree with this but like you said I wouldn't bet on it. They just don't seem like the dominate team that used to scare me from 09-11. Maybe next year if our defense becomes elite or if Tannehill improves.

Thanks dude! I am always looking for NFL podcasts to listen to when I drive to work. I listen to WQAM and Finsiders, but I didn't know about this one. Looking forward to giving them a try!!

Very surprising, considering Barnwell has written about the possibility of Tannehill being a bust this offseason, and he's usually not very high on the Dolphins. Not that 9-7 is "very" high. But it's better than most think we'll do.

EJ Manuel looks like a poor man's Daunte Culpepper, and I mean the Culpepper after the injuries. The Bills already squandered their first round draft pick too so it's going to be tough for them to get a qb for awhile.

Knowshawn makes things change IMO. I think he gets us to 10-11. No distractions this year.

But RT has to make the leap. If he does, no way win less than 10.

They talk about the Moreno injury and the Packers game. Moreno stuff is at the beginning. the Packers game is at the 45 minute mark.

Cliffs:
-Tannehill sucked
-Miller is not a bad running back
-Landry is a stud
-They were in awe of Rodgers
-Barnwell is pretty on the ball with glaring coaching mistakes, he mentioned nothing of the coaching.

Mays is a Bears fan so i couldn't wait to hear his thoughts on this one, interesting discussion on Tannehill. He wouldn't give Tannehill much credit despite the numbers, he said it was more the game plan and we had the perfect plan to take advantage of their weaknesses on defense. He also gave a lot of credit to our game plan on defense saying its not so much that Cutler was bad, we just made them do what we wanted.

Barnwell was higher on Tannehill's performance, but he's still torn on what he can become.

The Dolphins stuff starts at the 50 minute mark.
