The Greatness in Saban

what is so great about him is the fact that he has a system. like Shula and Lombardi he came in here demanding to have full contol of the team. also like those guys he is a disciplinarian, a guy who demands full effort out of his players. He only wants certain types of players who will buy in to his way of doing things and who are team players. He is also a great talent evaulator. he has a great philisophy. he beleives in building through the draft. he is a great teacher of the game. all are characteristics that legendary coaches like Lombardi had. Heck he also makes other teams beleive he will do things he isn't going to do like with Brees. He made NO think he was interested in Brees when he wasn't and as a result they gave him a ton of money. Money they could have used on a player we want.

This is why I think he will be a future great head coach and also why I don't get it when anybody questions him. He has done nothng but good things and has a great determination. He has the characteristics of a great coach.

I agree with everything that you have said. I think Saban is the best thing to come to Miami since Shula. We have had a crappy coach for too long in Wanny and it was about time the phins came back to being an elite team.

Best pickup the Dolphins have done since Marino. Im not saying that because im a Dolfan. Look at his actions since day 1. Each one had a very sound logic to it, WITHOUT breaking the bank.
Most important is his methodical approach to getting the players, media, and fans to understand what he is doing. With exception to the media, many have bought in to his system.
In conclusion, is this not one of the most exciting seasons in years?
We say every year its going to be a good season, however we can back it up this year with many things Saban has done.
