The offense could actually turn out to be a bright spot if the young players like D. Hagan (WR), J. Toledo (OL), A. Alabi (OL), and M. Vick (WR/KR/PR) step up and play some football.

Im not saying that these players all must be pro bowlers, but these were draft picks that we have used and if their contribution is minimal in the next two years that means that they were wasted picks and that inevitably sets your team back.

On the defense we need for M. Roth (DE), J. Allen (?), F. Evans (DT), M. Wright (DT), K. Vickerson (DT), and, T. Daniels (DB) to step up.

With all the talk of age on our Defense we can certainly make leaps and bounds if these guys turn out to be significant playmakers. If they turn out average or underachieve then our last drafts sucked. If they blossom into overachieving animals (Roth) then we may be well on our way to sustaining ourselves as a perenial powerhouse.

This draft will be crucial with the amount of picks we have and the amount of Offensive talent we could use. But if the draft goes well, and Cam gets what he needs on offense, all of a sudden this team could be younger, faster, and much improved heading into 2007.

Just hope the youngsters are hungry and the draft goes well.

with only 3 OL on the team that are proven and 6 on the roster all together right now is a little scarey, but I agree with your thoughts

Add R. Wright into the DL and we're pretty strong there. Vick was a FA. With Cam, finally an offensive mind, I'm sure we'll start making people wish they didin't have to play us!

All due respect, and I hope for what you say, but can't just about every NFL team say the same thing? If our late round picks really turn into nfl starters, we could be really good. A year ago, we were all saying how good Vickerson and Shirdonna whatsisname were going to be. A couple years ago, we all said ,Why'd we take this Welker kid? Every fan of a team knows their late round picks well and has high hopes, but in the end, some hit and some (maybe most) don't. That's why I like that we're stockpiling picks. Gotta play the numbers.

i have high hopes for hagan......and i still think jason allen can play....rod wright and fred evans will surprise

R Wright

Rodrique Wright only dropprd to 7 th Rd because of sholder injury, he was one of best DL prospects in draft last year and was expected to go in 1st or 2cd Rd.

Has M. Vick been moved to take over Welkers role? Has that been brought up by the organazation?

You forget his extreme laziness.
