I had attended the Hou vs Mia game this Sunday and had found something very ironic in the Lousaka tripping penalty called.

Previously before the penalty, on the big screens in the stadium, it had played a video with Lousaka Polite teaching fans how to correctly block on offense. He mentioned keeping your head up, and keeping your back up. Later in the game, he is called for "tripping" in which he dove head first attempting to make a block on one of the opposing defenders.

Now, I am not bashing Lousaka Polite in any way (In fact I think he is one of the best players on our team), but I think that the irony of that occurrence is way too funny to be left unmentioned.

Yeah, I guess it is ironic if they showed that video. I agree though, he is one of the best players on the team and deserves to be named to the Pro Bowl tonight. Hopefully he gets the nod.

There is no doubt in my mind that he is the best fullback in the AFC. He is best at what a fullback is suppose to do, block. He is also a 3rd and short specialist.

For some reason many people see McClain as the best FB but he plays like a RB. I hope Louy gets the nomination.

I've seen worse and more flagrant trips and leg-whips not called. That was terrible.

He didn't trip him at all. He simply cut him, chop blocked him.

If they made the chop block call, that would have made more sense but also would be incorrect because you can chop any defender within 3 yards of the LOS and within the tackle box.

i didnt think he tripped either how can he trip somebody when you your block is carrying your body that way what is supposed to do? tuck his feet in?? BS

the trip wasn't called from him diving at the defenders legs... thats allowed and players do that all the time to block defenders...

they called it because the defender jumped over Polites attempt at the cut block and it looked like Polite whipped his leg up and hit the defenders leg... now did Polite's leg come around just because he dove and that was the momentum forcing his leg around or did he purposely put up his leg since the defender jumped over him? we'll never know but the refs decided he purposely swing his leg up...
