I was watching this game from last year with the sole intent of checking out E. Wilford. I watched the game very sporadically. I unfortunately never seemed to catch the plays with him when I was watching. The ones I did see however he looked pretty good.

First of all he's a real big receiver as we know and I know we've all wanted one here for a long time now. I noticed how he is a great blocker down field. He made a great block down field that I saw, which enabled the guy with the ball to score the TD. He should really help in that department and with blocking on screens etc...and obviously with his height and strength, he should be able to be a real good red zone threat. He seemed to give a lot of effort when he played. When some receivers don't get the ball they don't give full effort in chasing the play down to make a block etc...

I was real happy when I heard we signed him. I think he was one of those quiet, under the radar type signings, but I have a hunch he's going to be a good player for us and turn out to be one of our better signings. At least for the short term to help with the gradual youth movement:up:

Watching that game you could have studied Starks aswell. Did you Tivo or DVR it?

I had Wilford in fantasy the year before last and he was streaky. Last year I believe he started growing into the role of a #1. I'm hoping he continues his growth with Miami. The negatives that I saw were seperation problems(we've seen that before, right folks?) and he disappeared for whole series.

Damn it! You da' man, Feelthepain. I totally forgot him. :shakeno: For some reason I always associate him with Pitt. because of M. Starxx(sp?), I believe it is. I didn't DVR it. I should have. I was running around, doing a million things at the time. I believe it's going to be repeated at some point. I'll have to check that out. Thanks bro. Good call!

Yeah! Well maybe that explains why sometimes I couldn't see him doing anything for periods of time. That could've been because of the play calling at the time I was watching. They seemed to be calling a lot more run plays at the time. Still, he could shine in areas like blocking and receiving in the red-zone and the short possession, move the chains type thing, similar to what we had in O. Gadsen years back. I know that might be much because I've always loved Gadsen and thought he was a very underrated receiver, but he could be similar, maybe, hopefully!!!
