The Least Talked About, Most Powerful, Unfair Home Field Advantage: Miami Dolphins

When visiting teams melt in early games here it's so fun to watch. One of my fondest ones was when we opened a can on New England in 2014.

I figured you guys would all get a kick out of this thread in the NFL subreddit. Kudos for the design of the canopy. People are starting to notice.

What a whiner. Teams provide their own shade. The Bears did. They had people holding up shades over the bench.

The stadium was build in that direction on purpose. Before the roof the sun was in the back of of the home team. Having the sun in the back helps big time. I sat on both sides and facing the sun was unbearable. That type of homefield advantage we always had. With the roof it might have increased a little but it was always there.

I didn't read the reddit thread, but I really laugh every time I see people holding up the flaps of plastic for shade on the opposition sideline. At one point there was a middle aged guy (like me) holding the shade up with his two hands above his head. I had a mental flash of myself doing that, and how I would feel. Really cracked me up.

I've loved watching the opposing coaches sweat their bollocks off during the games. Grudin looked like he was going to collapse at any moment, Raiders must love their black uniforms when they come down. Nagy's bald pate was reddening like a tomato during the game on Sunday, hope he applied plenty of spf 50 there :)

Coincidently we are 3-0 at home this year and seem to do pretty well in the 4th quarter :)

My son and I were laughing about that. We were wondering how much these guys get paid. I couldn't stand there for even 5 minutes.

So now the we won because of the unfair home field advantage.
1..They will discredit the O-Line shutting down Mack the entire game. Zero sacks allowed
2. They will discredit Albert Wilson's speed and YAC ability
3. They will discredit Frank Gore who made some game changing plays as well
4. They will discredit our rookie kicker who is probably making 1/8 of what Parkey is making.
5. They will discredit that if it wasn't for Drake fumble..... that game was over.

Barring the sparse SNF, MNF and TNF, every Miami home game should be the early Sunday game.

It's an advantage that was put to good use for decades until Ross asked for the later games.

It also helps to have some semblance of a real team playing :hclap:

Heat in September and October kills opposing teams. It's part of our homefield advantage. Ross is an IDIOT for requesting later games and should of been advised against it. Gruden was charcoaled after that game and his neck was so red that I bet he wished he put on his sun block.

Gruden looked like he was roasting on a rotisserie.

The Bears could have easily won if they could have tackled Albert Wilson. They had multiple opportunities to do so. Every team has home field, gusts of wind in Met life, snow plows in NE, freezing cold in Buffalo, the hawk in Chicago. Cribabies, they lost.

Serious question for my caucasian brethren. Why isn't sunblock used more often? It's always baffled me. I remember from as early as elementary school, kids would complain about pain from sunburn after vacation or after a weekend of going out. My follow-up was always, "well, did you use sunscreen?" The answer is almost always no. Why?

I'm more sensitive to colder temperatures than other people, so I bundle up. If there was a risk of me getting the equivalent of a sunburn for not bundling up properly in cold weather, I'd take every precaution. What am I missing? The solution sounds too simple.

Well, it was refreshing to see so many fans of other teams to call the guy out and basically call him a whiner. Almost everyone who didn't know about the design that saw the chart of sunshine on the field sept-dec thought it was brilliant. I love our stadium along with its euro type look.
