The McShay 1.0

Tua had a good year 6-3. Jackson played almost the full season at a reasonable level. Iggy was a waste of a first round pick on a developmental prospect, not that this has anything to do with the point we are discussing but nice attempt at a deflection.

If we don't come out of FA and the draft with at the very least 2, probably 3 starting receivers (WR and TEs) then it will have been a colossal fail at giving our young QB the talent he needs. If we are relying on the motely crew you mention we will never get anywhere with this offense.
Tua wasn't 6-3...stop it.

Parker, Williams, Wilson, Hurns, and Gesiski aren't exactly chopped liver...

You can still draft two WRs without short-changing the ability of the WRs on the roster.
Parker is a great #2 (when healthy)
Williams is a #4 (DVP Backup)
Wilson is a #4/#5 (hasn’t played in over a year)
Hurns #5

Gesicki - Stud

This unit needs an overhaul

Parker is a #2 because Tua's skill set makes him a #2.

Williams was Tua's favorite target and I'm willling to bet that he'll be starting on the other side of Parker next season.

Wilson hasn't played in over a year? So when Donta Hightower comes back, will the guy in front of him still be the Pats MIKE because Hightower hasn't played in over a year? Patrick Chung? Lucas Niang?

If Hearns and Wilson are your #4 & % WR...I doubt if you can hint your WR room is empty.

Tua wasn't crap and a waste of a pick, stop it.

And he was 6-3 like it or not. Nice deflection again, keep on the topic please.
Tua won ONE game...the AZ game.

Stop it...:shoo:

The Defense won the rest of those games. Tua just didn't LOSE them. Hell, I blame the defense for the Denver loss. Had they not played well in the 1st half, Tua may have been pulled earlier and we probably would have won.

I love DVP as much as the next guy, but he’s not a Bonafide #1. He’s just not. Blaming that on a rookie QB is laughable.

Overreacting to QB play is commonplace on message boards, but blaming Tua for pulling DVPs hammys is hilarious

I love Najee, but the more mocks I do the more it seems like taking a RB as high as we would have to for Najee screws us for WRs we need. We can get better RBs in the mid rounds than we can WRs according to the mock machines. So I'm leaning towards two Receivers with those first two picks including a trade down from 3. Ideally Smith and Pitts, Toney with 2a and J Williams with 2b. I honestly don't care about anything other than skill O positions in this draft. Think I will make this my sig :)
I'm with you. I can't stop thinking about how excited I would be to have Pitts on this team. If Miami came out of the first round with a receiver and Pitts I would be ecstatic.

IJS...

He looked every part of a #1 with Fitzpatrick...

Tua gets behind center and, in the eyes of more than a few people, he's now going to be a #2 to a rookie who has never taken a snap in the NFL.

I don't get it....

You’re grasping for straws. He looked like a #1 last year because it was the first and only time in his career he’s played 16 games.

The reason he isn’t a #1 is largely due to his inability to be be on the field consistently. #1 WR’s, your alpha you don’t pencil in for 2-3 games on the sidelines due to soft tissue issues.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the QB

He played 14 games last year with Fitz (1,200 yards - 16.7 YPC - 9 TDs)

-------------------------

He played 8 games with Tua this year (429 yards - 12.6 YPC - 2 TDs)

Extrapolate those totals over a 16 game season...I won't even mention the targeting differences (accuracy) between the two years, and that's with a worse o-line than we had this year.

Just going to ignore the rest of his career? #1 WR’s don’t just have a 1 year (or 14 game) sample size to go off. But go off king

Ignore the rest of his career...when he had RT17 throwing to him, and now Tua?
