The press conference isnt even 5 minutes in and I admit I like philben even more as I listened to his comments. He seems to have no ego and a good idea of what needs to be done. I tell you listening to Ireland or Ross speak is painful, they should attend a toastmasters meeting soon. I hope Philben brings success to our downtrodden franchise.

He seems like a pro in front of the press.

Love everything he has said. He said we need to be aggressive in all three phases of the game. Love it. He said he will demand, not demean, the players. Love it.

It has Ben since Shula since I have seen a Dolphins rep at the podium who is this confident, polished and with no indication of an inflated ego. I think Ross hit a home run here.

Side note: Ross and Ireland need to stay away from the cameras and let Philbin do all the talking.

They know that. Thats why their speeches were short and sweet.

He seems to have good command of the room. Very confident sounding.

Heartbreaking to hear him refer to Michael but on the surface it looks as if he is working through it.

"Joe, 4-3 or 3-4 defense?" --- "I want us to be the best tackling team in the NFL, the best team in pursuit, i want to take the ball away from other teams, i want to rattle the opposing quarterback every opportunity we get."

Dude is well spoken and knows what his approach is going to be. Also he isn't falling for any BS like Salguero is asking him.

Damn this guy is giving me chills, its only a presser but he is impressive...

Love the hire after hearing him speak.

He has a vision, he has no ego, is completely selfless, very intelligent, and will do the hard work required to succeed.

That said, his success will likely hinge on find a great QB.

I think he can do it, I love the hire.
