IMO, the next 2 games are very critical from a confidence "standpoint". If we can beat the Buccaneers on the road, it would be a big win vs. a very good team. Then we face the Chiefs at home. Granted, it's not the same as playing them at KC but they are still an offensive juggernaut. With 2 wins in a row vs. 2 good teams, this may get our players really believing that we have a legitimate shot at actually competing in the playoffs.

Now I know that an argument can be made that our players already believe they are good but after suffering through last year, 2 big wins vs. 2 good opponents would really do wonders for our team and our confidence. Couple that with the fact that with every passing game, our team is gelling more and more and we're improving and we may just have something here.

Good Post.. I agree that these two games can jumpstart the Dolphins quest of making the playoffs.

On the flip side we may very well lose both these games by a close score, and although we will likely prove we can compete with both teams, being 2-4 will put a serious damper on this season and team confidence.

We NEED to split these next two games at the very least.

We aint going to the playoffs. The Dolphins should just concentrate on getting penalties under control, playing tough, and just improving in all areas. This is a learning year, not a playoff year. I dont care if we lose this year, as long as we play hard and smart (unlike Buffalo when we played like a high school team).

2-4 wont kill the season. There would be 10 games left. Improving each week is the key, not wins or losses (for a rebuilding year). Plus I would rather have a higher draft pick.

High school teams usually score 70 points and blow out the opposing team with both their first and second team offense and defense

pretty sure we threw playoff hopes out the window last week against buffalo. i think we go 10-6 at best, and with a 0-2 division record right now, we won't be winning any tiebreakers for a wild card unless we win the other 4 division games.

with our luck, we'll beat tampa and then lose to KC, giving us another conference loss. sorry, i'm just a bit overly negative after we **** last weeks game down the drain. come january 2nd, i think we'll look back and see that the bills game was our biggest mistake that keeps us out of the playoffs.

Wow!!! I can't believe how some have lost their faith in this team so quickly. I guess I'm kind of crazy since I always believe we can win it all every year but thinking that the playoffs or a winning season is out of the question when we're only 2-2 is quite harsh. I think the NFL is a lot about momentum and confidence. If we catch a few breaks and go on a streak, we have a very good chance but then again, I'm just a die-hard fan.

I think we can still do something if we want to make the playoffs but we need to at least split the next 2 games and win the game coming up against the Patsies in a few weeks after. I think if we split the next 2 weeks the Pats game will be our season decider.

How have people lost faith? This is a 8-8 team from day 1, which is a HUGE improvement over last year. Good things are happening. But the NFL isnt about momentum and confidence, they dont score TD's. Do the Patriots need momentum? Or the Colts? They have great players, who make the key plays when they have to. That wins games.

We just arent a very good team yet. We need another year. We need better players in certains areas (secondary, OL, QB)

Playoffs arent "out of the question" but why would you get your hopes up so high? Be realistic, this isnt a playoff team yet.

How can a team that commits over 10 penalties a game and cant win on the road go 10-6?

I guess the year the year the Pats started out 1-3 with their star QB (Bledsoe) injured and an unproven QB (Brady) as their new starter was a good time for their fans to be realistic don't you think? If we go to the playoffs, don't watch us please!

As long as we do better than we did last year, and from the looks of it we'll probably do quite a bit better, I'll be happy. As a fan I'm of course hoping for a miracle but I'm not expecting it. I'm already happy with the way the team has performed this year.
