Brandon Lang....

Look out for this guy next year....Brandon Lang(6'4",256) is an OLB out of Troy(same school as Ware[DAL] and Umeniyora[NYG]).

Drafted by Parcells himself, and I have a feeling this guy may be the reason why we didnt take a rush linebacker this years draft.

No vid. on him,but Im telling you,FOLLOW HIM this season. He is right now ranked in the top 3 senoir OLBs,and is a late first-early second round prospect, and could be even higher with a great season this year....

I want HIM in aqua and orange in twenty-ten!!!!

Heres his profile at Troy.....

He is smaller and nowhere near the athlete that Ware is. Ware ran in the 4.5's and had a 38 inch vertical.

The guy with the potential to duplicate a Demarcus Ware season is Cameron Wake.

Even if Wake does pan out to be something, with the age of Joey Porter and Jason Taylor, and Matt Roth's contract expirinig after 2009, I think another OLB or two added via the draft is definitely possible.

My list of players to watch would be:

Jerry Hughes TCU
Sergio Kindle Texas
Brandon Lang Troy
Corey Wootton Northwestern
Mark Herzlich Boston College
Brandon Graham Michigan

That list is in no particular order and there are certainly others out there worth keeping an eye on as well. Obviously there's players I didn't include like Greg Hardy, George Selive, Jermaine Cunningham, and Antonio Coleman. Of those guys listed, I'd want Hughes more so than the rest.

herzlich was diagnosed with cancer, and we dont know if he will play again.

Hopefully he beats it and come back and play, but sadly I am sure it will affectt the way a team will look at haveing him for the long term due to his cancer could come back etc. Its a sad story indeed for a kid that has showed so much promise to become a great NFL Player one day, hope he beats cancer and still gets to live a dream that few get to actually realize.

I think we need an ILB more, especially with the news that we are trying to extend Roth. I really want Brandon Spikes, but that probably won't happen unless we suck this year.

Spikes seems like the ideal guy, and who knows what happens with the draft - everyone thought we'd trade up for Rey Maualuga and we let him slide right past us into the 2nd round.

The ILB I'm keeping a close watch on is Rolando McClain from Alabama. If there's one thing about Saban, he'll produce a pretty football savvy LB.

i've never liked the prospects coming out from saban schools, but the linebackers though come out of college with very good instincts and usually are knowledgeable. Not to mention that most of those guys are in top physical condition

Yeah, but we said that this year about Laurinaitis and ReyRey. You never really know where ILB's will go.

spikes or mcclain would be absolutely ideal. but yeah - both will be long gone by the time we draft.

Thats who i want..he is already playing a 3-4 D in a elite confrence..6-4 255..i smell a Parcells LB..this guy may make us forget about passing on Willis :boohoo:

sucks about Herzlich. I had already penciled him in as our future star at LB. I hope he recovers. Forget about football, lets hope he can make it.

I think these years' draft could be special in terms of hybrid 3-4 outside linebacker players. My list is..

*Jerry Hughes-TCU
*Brandon Lang-Troy
*George Selvie-South Florida
*Sergio Kindle-Texas

Other players to keep an eye on include..

*Brandon Spikes-Middle Linebacker-Florida
*Rolando McClain-Middle Linebacker-Alabama
*Terrence Cody-Nose Tackle-Alabama

My favorite player in the entire draft but I think he is a top 5 pick. He will rise fast. He is a stronger, quicker Haloti Ngata!
